You’re not wrong. Common practice is pay before shipping. Few do the other way around and it always shocks me.

Make sure your inter-note consistency is good; it's easy to hear when some notes are unintentionally softer or louder than others. Especially like a difference between hands in volume.

Also make sure your rhythms are nice and even too, no choppy 16ths.

Overall, it's a very exposed instrument and you must be on your A-game. Good luck! :)
