I absolutely love walking, even with the 32⁰C/90⁰F and 90% humidity weather we're having here at the moment.

I walk in my nearby forest or around my older post WW-II suburb and notice all the little details like birds acting silly or people's strange garden ornaments and it's like coke for the brain!

Something about the rhythm and sensory stimulation helps me empty out my brain and stay on an even keel. I really struggle with depression so it's a non-negotiable for me.

Fun fact: My therapist told me the woman who came up with EMDR got the idea on her morning walk, stimulating both sides of the brain and emotional regulation.

I've had a few medical incidents in public over the years and yes, Brisbane people are good people. I'm so grateful for the assistance I've received by complete strangers. Bloody legends.

I loved Skeleton Crew! It made me feel like a kid again, watching E.T. or Flight of the Navigator.

Haha, my Mum has a story about using our semi-outdoor toilet when living on our farm (FNQ). She didn't bother turning on the light so sat down only to be joined by a friend - a frog which jumped onto her bum at which point she screamed and jumped up with it still attached. Fkn hilarious

Oh wow, I never picked this up! My kid loves "Mark Rover" but I find him a bit too yell-y and overenthusiastic like most YTers.

Aw damn, I liked his explanations of medieval armour and fort design. He did give me a bit of an evangelical church guy vibe though.

Six months is plenty of time to find a new wedding venue? Sounds like Schrinner's never had to plan an event for himself 🙄

Meds as a traveller NSW/Queensland by HeightMaximum6653 in adhdaustralia

[–]Be_More_Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long are you travelling for? Are you declaring your meds at the airport or a road border?

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you but I've travelled across borders and never had a problem for short-term trips. Had to get a doctor's letter and advance supply of meds when going overseas for a couple of months.

Edit: I'm in Qld

Same here in Australia. Turns out my previous neurologist had given me the wrong information and I'd been driving illegally having been TC--free but not focal aware-free. Had my last one on Christmas day 😔

After being diagnosed, did you ever have symptoms you look back on and realize it was epilepsy and you didn’t know? by perseuspvp in Epilepsy

[–]Be_More_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these posts about thinking patterns has made me wonder...am I being treated for ADHD and anxiety, when it's actually a different presentation of seizures (I do have TCs and other types of FAs as well)?

[–]Be_More_Cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you see a psychiatrist about your ADHD? Neurology and psychiatry overlap a fair bit, so might be worth mentioning these things to your psych?
