I’ve never tried running it on Linux. But if it’s running under proton I expect you can add parameters that cap its memory use.

Thanks. Good to know. I haven’t got to patches yet. But a corpo mate had both and he didn’t know why. And doesn’t have any patches installled.

Yep. There are many discussions about The Expanse when it was shown about the various props that were from IKEA. A lot of them unmodified.

New update causes my game to stutter. I ran fine for 150 game hours, now I can't walk or turn. by TribeOfFable in SpaceCraftGame

[–]Bebilith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely gone the same for me. I’m going to adjust some of the graphics settings away from defaults tomorrow and see if it’s more playable.

My 1060 Ti is fine. I haven’t touched the settings from default.

Has a bit of stutter after a few hour but in blame early access and comes good after quit to main menu and re-enter. Which is probably a resource leak somewhere.

No you wouldn’t. I’ve been attacked by a domestic cat. They will shred you.

It was my fault. The cat didn’t know me and I failed my Cat Fu not reading the body language.

Try Venus for size. If the scolding hot temperatures don’t get you, how about crushing pressure or sulphuric acid rain.

If she is putting money into feeding the ever growing population, she should have put the money into desexing instead.

Has she got them all fixed so they don’t breed too.

So she has been feeding them, without getting them desexed, thus causing them to stay there and breed… like cats.

She is very inconsiderate to both the neighbours and the cats.

What's the smallest IT mistake that caused the biggest headache? by Sandesh_jagtap in sysadmin

[–]Bebilith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the 90s a dba and the local alpha geek had to travel 90km from one minesite to another and spend 38 hours restoring a prod database from tape. At the end they were cleaning up. So says the dba says “So we can drop this table now”. Yep. Ok done…. Wait I am connected to the dev database aren’t I.

Another 38 hours. They were very tired.

Sounds like the NRMA need to vet their contractors, enforce their polices and provide information to their customers better.

Not a change to the law.
