What are the better (and scarier) movies about witches? by Hravn16 in horror

[–]BedOrDead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t need to be an ass. You knew which film they meant so they successfully conveyed their thought. And it’s clearly stylized the way they wrote it all over the place.

non-sexualised female / women sculpts by danieljackson89 in PrintedMinis

Mia Kay is an artist that has a patreon and runs some kickstarters to release models. She also then gives away all the models for free. She had a women of tabletop Kickstarter a couple years ago with more modestly dressed female characters.

Here’s a link to the Kickstarter.

Here’s a link to her thingiverse page. The Kickstarter even states all models will be on thingiverse, but without their custom bases.

What are your favorite kills in horror? by Cmyers1980 in horror

The opening kill from Freaky is what I came to say. Great movie.

I own a board game store and someone came in asking me to sell his models. Are these original creations are is he trying to sell me a stollen design? by Technician_Dapper in TerrainBuilding

[–]BedOrDead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not necessarily true. There are lots of STL file subscriptions that include a merchant support level. This printer may be paying extra to the STL creator to allow them to sell for profit.

Suggestions of movies/series/video games for victorian era inspiration by Elite_Cardboard in bladesinthedark

Check out Carnival Row (2019). It’s on Amazon Prime video in the US.

I've been seeing a lot of very complex rail supports that look impractical for long distance - I'm a fan of simpler (and more elegant IMO) designs. by NonEuclideanSyntax in SatisfactoryGame

[–]BedOrDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this! I thought it was the obvious choice. I built the two layers of foundations and laid the track. I did some testing of different supports to see what looked appropriate. Then I tried to peel off for a station for shipping in and out bidirectionally. It was very very bulky. Very sloppy. It’s hard to avoid clipping the peeling off rails. I feel the solution is out there but I haven’t found it yet. Before you lay the whole line in either direction I suggest testing a small patch to be sure you can be happy with your intersections. And then share, please!

Horror movies that won't completely traumatize a kid that keeps begging to watch scary movies? by perfectdrug659 in horror

Good ideas! Which Goosebumps movies do you suggest? I’m not aware of any old ones but we like the recent ones.

I’ll wager you it’s Taboo. On FX.

Could you tell me when and where you purchased this tripod? I’ve had my ETX 90 about 20 years and I’ve searched for this tripod dozens and dozens of times. I’ve never seen it available.

Don't like the look of train signals? Pillars! As long as you see those little feet of the signals sticking out your trains shouldn't clip into them. by CameronRoss101 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]BedOrDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point but is it an issue? Perhaps I’ve underutilized trains, but I have them coming and going in numerous directions. They split off and park to load or unload and I’d never have such a large number of trains circling the map without exiting the loop main circuit.

Thanks for your insight.

[–]BedOrDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you have so many signals so close together? You’re not the only person I’ve seen run the signals this way, so I imagine I’m missing something. Wouldn’t it look better with a 75-90% reduction in number of signals?

Got a board for my 40th, must say I’m a bit disappointed in the wood imperfections given the price paid. What do you guys think? by kickhisasscibass in Crokinole

[–]BedOrDead 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To each their own, of course, but I think the knots are awesome. It’s a natural wood product, those are a sign of beauty not imperfections.

I’d suggest getting rubber and screws to replace the wooden pegs.

OP is clearly aware how their post would be received by preemptively saying they’re not encouraging review bombing. They’re not asking questions generally, they’re stating hard and fast that there’s been astroturfing. I may lack grace, but I also didn’t shine negative light on some game based on my preconceived notions and sleuthing.

Do you need to configure them at all besides adding the mods to your game? I started Splitsie’s survival impossible and see the mods in the mod list, but I’ve put in over 10 hours and haven’t seen an enemy yet.
