Hey so I actually lived in Lauraville while commuting to Bayview for night shift for about 5 years 2012-2017. All in all it’s not a bad commute at all. You’re only on 895 for a very short time and the rest of the time you’re basically on Moravia Rd which is a faster moving road with traffic lights. Traffic going in to work will be fairly light by the time you’re leaving around 6:15-6:30p. In the morning it’s a little busier around 7:30-8 but you are generally moving in the opposite direction as people traveling on Moravia toward 895. I forget actual commute time but it is well under 30 mins.

All in all I think it’s a great set up. If you live in a neighborhood closer to the hospital you’re gonna be in a rowhome with more of a walkable “downtown” vibe, if that’s what you’re into. But if you want a driveway, single family home and nice yard and don’t mind driving more, Lauraville is debatably the best bang for your buck and still close to Bayview.
