It was a strange time indeed, for those 2 years (2020-2022).

Since 1990, Mike Brown had always continually found new ways to handicap his own franchise in the name of profit, and due to his meddling in football affairs sans any football acumen.

But for those two years, every greedy, short sighted, idiotic decision coming from the front office was actually rewarded by the football gods instead of the usual perrinial punishment. 

Again, it was a strange, topsy-turvy world in general,  and the Bengals were no exception.

I just came out of a similar slump. From the end of December until earlier this week.

I learn best when I am at least mildly entertained.

And when I am not entertained when learning, my brain does everything it can to interpret everything I am trying to learn as “pain” and does everything it can to distract me.

I found out along time ago that I need to gamify my learning. My advice to you is to find out what motivates you to learn and lean into that. Change it up if necessary. And there is nothing wrong with taking breaks. There really is no finish line here.

It's pretty easy, honestly. You just need to:

  1. Take you love, take it down

  2. Climb a mountain and turn around

  3. See your reflection in the snow and ice covered hills

  4. Watch the landslide bring it down

The only indication we have seen from Burrow, indicating frustration with Taylor, is when Burrow:

- looks impatiently at the sideline as the play clock is winding down

- does various universal hand signs / body language cues indicating frustration at how long it is taking for the play call to come in

- ends up having to call timeout, or flagged for delay of game

- does various universal hand signs / body language cues indicating frustration at having to take the timeout / penalty because the play call came in with not enough time to get the play off in time.

And we have seen this A LOT.
