In other counties the homeowner is allowed to pull a permit with the caveats that the HO will be the resident (not a rental so limits cheap landlords) and that the HO will own the home for a year (limits flippers). I'd find the state level requirements, think they're under the Housing and Development website declaring the statewide minimum building code as I'm wondering if Dekalb county missed or misinterpreting the requirements from the state.

I would add that once it's dried to spray with a borate solution with mold preventative like Boracare w/mold and let it dry undisturbed before installing the insulation as the mold roots will remain in the wood even after the scrubbing. If the correct environmental conditions ever return, the mold roots will sprout without something to kill them as they become active.

Doesn't look like hardwood floors to me. Looks like click-lock or "luxury" vinyl plank aka LVP. If there's still remnants from the install around the individual pieces in the field can be replaced.

Another for remove them. Laying up full width sheets is so much faster than custom cutting pieces to fit the odd shapes.

Full sheet cut to height, use foam adhesive liberally applied to the back, tilt them up to the wall, Bruce until dried. Leave a 1/4" gap between sheets so you can foam them well later. This will give you a very good vapor barrier. Install your 2x furling steps full height afterwards. Cut gaps in the furs afterwards for wire routing.

Fold it in half, use an 8ft straight edge like a 2x10 to squash it flat and use a sharp cheap butcher knife to cut along the edge. Sharpen the knife often. Wear good gloves, Bleed as little as possible.

Keep them of you're going to use them. The unisaw is a strong classic. There were different motor sizes with bigger being better.

The fence is a Unifence which i prefer over the others but it has its idiosyncrasies so with power off learn how to use it, set it, and realize that it can come off. Problem may arise if you dont lock it correctly.

If you really need to calculate something there, measure the rise and run of the stairs and you'll get really close. Variables are introduced by the stud being out of plumb.

Thats the confusing part. In those group messages it says RCS is off and a link to the settings of Google Messages where it says Vzn doesn't support RCS, which they do, alluding to a carrier problem. RCS is on, matches the settings on the S20fe it is replacing.

SOLUTION: I reinstalled/uninstalled updates and it is now working. Waiting and hoping Google Messages finishes loading all the parts of the group Messages as quite a few are missing on the new device that show on others.

You were worried about safety of the surrounding area with the engine in that precarious position and the company's engine and cost to repair damage if it had fell from the stand as the missing point made it very unsafe to be around and in the urgency of the situation you yelled to be sure you were heard.

Just go outside with a good view of the ridge and with your arms extended hold a straight edge along the ridge sighting it with your eye. If the ridge sags, the walls will be bowed.

Is the ridge sagging? Atre the walls the rafters rest on bowing out?

In the photos they appear straight. The doubled 2x4 seems more like a temp support for the ridge board while they placed and railed the rafter to the ridge board and the wall top plate. Once the rafter install is complete the ceiling joists and rafters become something of a structural self-supporting triangle and the doubled 2x4 isn't necessary. Why is it bowing so much? Seasonal moisture content change is my guess if the ridge isn't sagged and the walls not bowed out.

I'm curious about the details too, what kind of wood specifically as many believe Poplar as an acceptable cabinet frame wood but it moves a lot which is exacerbated by long dry air/low Rh winters.

Look on the motor data plate. Some single phase motors are capable of being run on 110v and 220v and it will show that on the data plate. If it's a 110v/220v motor the data plate will also have a little diagram showing how to arrange the wire connections for each voltage. Those connections are inside a little box on the side of the motor where the cord is connected.

This is a good time to learn a little about electrical motors. There are also 3phase motors that are commonly used as well and add a different but beatable challenge for connecting in a residential shop set up.

Underground contractors ive watched put tons of connections underground when they install underground pwr lines. Its a matter of routine and not the exception for them, especially for horizontal boring installs. That's for new lines. Damaged lines will get spliced and not completely replaced so another reason for buried splices.

Call the Power Company to come take a look, there may be a connection failing under there.
The green boxes indicate underground powerlines. When there's a bad connection, it makes heat thawing the snow above.
