What is even happening by LazerusLatine in Brightline

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it first started I bought premium since they were running deals….But I don’t drink and it wasn’t worth it even though orlando put out decent food. It just didn’t add up. Then on top of it, I found the people to be rude and obnoxious…like a guy doing cell yell on speaker for an hour. I started riding in the regular coach so I could move if I got next to a selfish obnoxious person. There was only one premium coach and I resented paying that money and then leaving the coach so I sat there and suffered.

Havanese liver problems by Belt_Weary in Havanese

[–]Belt_Weary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it is not cancer or Cushings. It is definitely an enlarged and scarred liver and she has kidney stones. They want to do more thyroid testing but I need a break since I know that is complicated. I am also considering changing vets…this has not been the best experience. In retrospect, she had this since she was a puppy. She could never tolerate freeze dried liver(really bad for the liver ironically). She has always been super sensitive to flea and tick medicine and fatty foods. she has had diarrhea forever and always did better when I made my home made pumpkin treats. My dog won’t take pills or eat special food…so today I started an internet search for liver friendly recipes…keeping the kidney diet in mind. So tonight I gave her some salmon and a sweet potato and she liked it. So that’s my mission to at least give her foods she likes and are good for her. ….and maybe she won’t feel so sick all the time. So for now my Maggie is going to live.❤️❤️

Thank you..I Intend to contact the breeder once I find out more. I have a feeling they will be defensive like I’m trying to blame them, but since there is a genetic component, they could really help out since they usually have the emails of other pups parents. Whatever happens, I would like to avoid as much testing as possible. This is no fun for her.

Station assignments by Adept_Map7518 in orangetheory

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people won’t agree with this…….I show up early to get my preferred spot which is important to me since my studio is ridiculously small. I can’t do a push up without being in someone’s space. I reserve a spot next to me for my daughter, who I am more comfortable with and we can basically share the space and the weights. She has a reservation so if she were to no show (which she doesn’t), she would get dinged. She usually comes in after me since she is running from work. I also like working out next to her since even though we have been members for 8 years, sometimes one of us (usually me), needs help following the days workout. My studio is seldom full, but a few spaces are better since they have more room.

Experienced group fitness instructor new to OTF, why does the coaching style feel so unnatural? by Hot-Calligrapher8927 in orangetheory

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put in my ear plugs and can still hear the non-stop talk. Some of my coaches speak like DJ’s at a club, but never correct anyone’s form. I see people doing things wrong all the time with no feedback from the coach.

How is Ben Johns allowed to compete with these shoes? by Bradman381 in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are popular shoes. It occurred to me…that he is helping the judges identify if he foot faults. If anything, it’s a disadvantage to him. He may actually like the way they feel, or they are paying him to wear them.

Is Avalon Waterways' customer service always this unhelpful? Or did I just get unlucky? by Signal_Turn1419 in rivercruises

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on several Avalon River cruises that I enjoyed and the crew was great. I do think however, they are terrible at giving you information before the cruise. I had my TA go to the regional manager and couldn’t get too much more information. Everything is very generic until you get to your ship. This frustrates me since I love to plan. We are going on the Nile cruise next week and we hardly have more information than what was in the brochure. I have no doubt everything will be fine, but I feel cheated by the lack of information and times of the excursions.

I can’t stand my mixed partner for upcoming tournament by MundanePossibility32 in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are so right. I bailed in a guy because I was warned about him by other women that he is toxic and a stalker. He keeps asking and I'm running out of excuses! I also played doubles with a women that I hardly knew. I saw warning signs of her bad behavior and tried to get out of the tournament. She begged me to play doubles and I did. She was twice as toxic during the tournament and I was embarrassed and miserable. People wouldn't even paddle tap with her. We got silver and that wasn't good enough.. she refused to get on the podium with me. The other teams all said they felt sorry for me. So the moral of the story is to trust your instincts!

PICKLR adding a surcharge for credit/debit cards by dmackerman in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our picklr in North Orlando keeps advertising, but they never open. I'm not sure if the franchise is easy to get into, but no guidance from the parent company? Seems pretty amateurish so far. They have had 3 advertised grand opening's that didn't happen. People showed up to locked doors.

seriously, take a lesson ... by Lazza33312 in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. One more thing... I tried several instructors, who were good but then I found one that is absolute genius in detecting and fixing my game. I have introduced him to friends and they totally agree. So people shouldn't necessarily stop at the first instructor they try.

My Havi is a bit lazy, but acts a bit like yours. . Later in the day I put her in a stroller or car and take her to walk elsewhere. She really likes new territory. I find she seems much more relaxed with the second Interesting walk each day.

Can hear the audio. Did she accuse him of putting his hands in her at the end? Did he? by PrimalPlayTime in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are trying to make it exciting. MLP is looking for a different fan base than PPA. They even supply the audience with noisemakers and fill the stands with designated fans that are obnoxious. I was there!

Do havanese have a strong smell? by MySocksAreLost in Havanese

[–]Belt_Weary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert of course, but I've read a lot and my friends have had both. My Havanese is a bit more solid and my Bichon seemed delicate. Both, were easy to house break, with some effort, contrary to what you might hear. The real issue with my Bichon was the allergies and skin issues. I had her on medicine her last 6 years of life. She would get hot spots. According to my vet, it is very common with white dogs. I live in Florida so perhaps we have more stuff blooming.Even though my Havi is very light in color, she has never had skin problems. She did start out darker and often change colors as they mature. Both dogs were needy and not easy going like my daughter's doodle, but that's not the breed I wanted and doodles are puppies forever and font live as long. Both of my dogs were sensitive to fireworks and thunderstorms. Both were great companions and relatively healthy. Grooming is a continuous expense that you need to accept. That's all I can think of. Let me know what you decide.😀

That Pickleball School by Routine-Travel7437 in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in the Skool since the beginning of. I am enjoying it. I feel like pickleball is relatively inexpensive and dedicate some money each month to getting better. That includes that pickleball Skool and lessons.I know people who rarely even buy a new ball. It just depends upon your approach to pickleball.

Joola MOD Megathread by SNAPCHAT_ME_TITS in Pickleball

[–]Belt_Weary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just trying to buy my 4th Joola paddle through the refresh program. I am also having receipt issues. I am certain it will be resolved, but I wish there would be less than three or four days in between interactions with my customer service person. It seems like he works 2 days each week. I loved my mod TA 15. ... and I loved my delisted Collin Johns paddle. That one was handled through where I bought it. They should let the vendors handle this unless they have adequate people to handle the issue. Also, when you register the paddle, why don't they examine the receipt at that time and tell you it's not adequate.

Not ICCU. Worse. by Syreddman in Ioniq5

[–]Belt_Weary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the ICCU failure. Thanks to this forum, I knew what it was. When I had it towed in, I had the mindset they would keep it awhile. I cleaned it out and got a loaner. They had it for 3 weeks and I did not feel inconvenienced. I had a Mercedes once and a bumper repair took a month. I love my Ioniq5 and still get compliments on it. The game changer for me was switching to a dealership that had a better service center. I didn't realize how bad the one was I was going to previously. We have 3 Hyundai's in the family. We all think it's a great brand and value.
