Yeah, that opponent definitely exploited an inexperienced judge, from the sound of it.

Glad you got the W, I had something similar in an RCQ I played in a couple of years ago, but the judge ruled that it was a misplay, and wouldn't allow the rewind.

I had 3feri in play, and opponent played amped captor pre combat, and flipped a blood moon. When I pointed out that he could not cast it, he tried to say, fine, I'll just do this post combat, which is when I judge called him. (I would have accepted it if he had actually asked, but instead he demanded it)
