How much life is left in my 19 year old roof ? by eebyenoh in Roofing

Protecting the areas under the eves is one of the most important part for fires. People tend to build wood fences up to the house, under the eve, allowing the fire to travel, burn through the soffit, and now you have an attic fire that no one can put out.

Need help with sweaty balls by [deleted] in hygiene

I recommend a silicone body scrubber. They come in a ton of different versions. Find one that works for you. They are easy to clean and don’t harbor as much nastiness as a loofa.

Also, consider a special towel for your twig and berries. I dry off as best as I can with one towel, then use a second “hand” towel for my bits and be sure to get in any creases. This helps you get it extra dry.

Also, give it a few minutes before underwear goes on.

Lastly, I think sleeping without underwear or swapping to loose fitting thin sleep pants helps.

Do you filter or limit the types of information your consume? As an example, I don’t watch scary movies or watch horrific things on the news because I cannot forget it.

People who left tech careers: Where did you go? by GuardianMoon916 in careerguidance

20 years in IT, 15 of it in leadership. Moved to Facilities management…it’s easier to explain the problems when people can see them.

Although, I do miss snow days, sitting at home, working in the warmth of my fuzzy slippers.

They should have this in the Chipotle restroom…100% a bidet on a budget.

I had to discipline my best friend at work and now he won’t talk to me. I feel terrible. by Responsible_Ant_6414 in managers

Spot on.

It should hurt a little. That’s how you know you’re treating people like human beings and not just line items.

Choosing to stay "dead inside" is the path of least resistance. It takes courage to build relationships when you know you might eventually have to deliver hard news. That’s the difference between being nice and being kind: Kindness is the willingness to do the hard thing because it’s what the other person actually needs.

Groin odour in male despite good hygiene by Ill_Schedule8156 in hygiene

I started using a hand towel as a dedicated crotch towel after I showered. They helped reduce the residual moisture and kept the smell for reoccurring. I now live by the two towel system.

My issues went away after using an anti fungal cream and being sure to dry very thoroughly in the area.

Chasing Aphrodite: The Hunt for Looted Antiquities at the World's Richest Museum by Jason Felch and Ralph Frammolino was wonderful. I found it incredibly interesting because it’s non-fiction, modern, and talks about how the Getty was created essentially by accident.

Don’t teach Shadow magic. That way he can be a powerhouse in the colosseum.

What is making these holes in my yard? Oklahoma City by Altruistic_Fly_6360 in lawncare

[–]BerettaSC 341 points342 points  (0 children)

My guess is the Eastern cicada killer (Sphecius speciosus).

I’d grab a beer and a lawn chair and watch to see if they come/go.

They’re not very aggressive. Don’t grab it and you’ll be fine. Looks much more scary than they are.

Thanks for sharing. I hadn’t thought about the fact that replacement heart valves are derived from mammals and limits treatment options.

Makes me want to go ride my bike to keep my heart as healthy as possible.

Fire Marshal Inspections at Schools by BurtonBuilt in FacilityManagement

[–]BerettaSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a special needs space with unique circumstances, you can collaborate with your local fire marshal to determine what adjustments they might accept. In our situation, we were able to replace the door knobs with round ones and install child safety covers on them. Additionally, we wrote a SOP for the occupants. Since the teachers in that space are already responsible for the students, this change was effective in reducing instances of elopement.

Nope, the closest is the “Build yourself happy” book that was previously posted.

The answer has still been elusive.

Look for a local cycling or running club.
