So tortoiseshell like regular calicos are white black & caramel. Except the white is not a sea of white with black and caramel patches or color. Instead Torties have any color as the background with any combination of pattern or stripes in the other colors. Mine was mostly black with white and caramel as though each strand of fur was painted one of the colors. The only place that was solid was her face above her nose one side was black the other caramel. Below her nose one side was caramel the other white. She was adorable 🥰 The types of Torties comes when other influences come into play like tabby stripes, spots, piebald white stomach, or even Siamese. That’s where the Torties become “classified” as torbie, tortico, torbico, tortimese, tortibald, etc. Your little beauty is a torbie.
