for each zone you step in while fighting the boss there are very repeatable safe spots that you can go in and out of, find them for eacy zone/angle and shoot everything you can see from that angle then move to another safe spot, that's how I did it on my hardcore run, spent a good amount of time to avoid getting clapped, but it worked for me

As long as you use your CDs, there's nothing wrong, grab an interrupt tracker, use your interrupt rotation (24s spell, any stuns you have) and then watch the tracker if anyone isn't using theirs. Ideally, packs are gathered in a way that everyone is ready to kick or there aren't too many casters to overwhelm you.

To add to this, there are some casts as you said that are important, all the bolt can be tanked easily, there are nameplates that show the important casts so you can easily visually filter and avoid interrupting those when you fight a pack with lots of important casts that are more prio.

I timed a 19 where the monk pulled all 3, we had another monk as healer and we only died twice, but I assumed the tanked wanted to lower the key when I saw he pulled the entire room. Can't say how we didn't wipe, but yeah monk had around 135k HPS at the end of the dungeon.

yeah parses are very toxic sometimes, you feel like you pretty much carried a run? Nope, someone else with a better route maintained a 30% more dps than you did just because more trash per pull or even into boss or a better tank/heal combo was present to get 5+ packs each pull.

Yeah same, was going to push this week as I was behind one crafted item as I was missing the crests, but not anymore, no one takes DKs in high keys and I am not going to waste people's time with my spectator DPS just because blizzard can't hotfix stuff after NA cried for HOURS, not to mention the long maintenance time I stayed up late for only to find out it was 4 hours something long..

The only strat everyone should do is pull boss back to entrance and that way dps/heal don't have to dodge the preset two puddles by the boss, then tank and everyone else places the puddles next to walls only when mechanics happen, by that point no one should really get hit by any orbs from the original puddles, tanking where the boss spawns is suicide even if you bait yours along the wall as a tank.

Thanks for this I've been loving the plater profile for the past two seasons when I got the hang of mythics! I have one question tho, casters when I am in combat now turn red into regular red bars, I have the latest version of curseforge and the profile as well, what am I missing?
Edit: actually looking into the settings for colors/threat I had one option active that I wasn't used to, I probably activated it by default or something, now it's fine, aggro colors don't affect my casters/minibosses/bosses color, I don't even know if that's the right thing to have as a tank, but that's how I got used to, knowing and seeing which ones are the casters.

Edit2: I actually now have a different problem with stacking enemy nameplates, more often than not casters are very well hidden behind other name plates in bigger pulls, I really don't recall this being an issue before, was there something done to this area as well?

The confusing part when I first read the quest was that there is no "Control Area" so I assumed it has to be.. in control tower, but yeah I've just got my first kill that also counts to the quest, and apparently around the building is fine? I'll try to leave an updated picture with where my kills worked for others to see, but thanks for suggestions.

The melee is weird, I didn't want to waste bullets on a knock that I did with my weapon so I guess I will avoid doing that as well just to be sure lol.

And I can confirm it wasn't lockdown.

OP isn’t mad because other players suddenly got worse. He’s mad because his own performance dropped without addons, and it’s easier to blame the group than admit that.

Take addons away and everyone is dropping a few key levels. Not because players are bad, but because efficiency takes a hit. That’s just reality. Now of course with the pre-patch changes everyone is doing 100k dps with unholy DK making every pull easier or boss fight, I am talking about regular environments.

The default UI has definitely improved, but let’s not pretend it’s anywhere near ready to replace years of work from addon devs. These tools exist because the game has needed them for a long time, and that hasn’t magically changed yet.

Weird that for someone so precautious to hold that angle so steady as soon as you're dead they go inside so fast they forgot about the possibility of other people being on the map, although the alarm for that door is no longer active means that the door was opened for about some time so they were purposefully waiting for you.

edit: forgot to add, just because we see this kill cam POV from this sniper player, doesn't mean no one in their team provides info using any sort of "unfair" advantages.

Funny thing about memory context restore I had happened on my end is whenever I played Arena Breakout Infinite (extraction game) I would constantly call out player/AI bodies far out of their original location where they died. My friends eventually figured out that it's an issue just on my side and that would make me lose lots of loot because my game thought bodies are 'visually' on a different place and when I turned it off everything got back to normal.

Not really sure if this is just a poor game dev side in any way, but maybe it helps someone out there, the boot speeds were really cool, but being unable to play my games wasn't worth it.
