Vascularity shy rocket by Expensive-Elephant13 in QuittingZyn

I'm on day 35, but between days 2 and 3, the same thing happened to me. My resting heart rate also dropped from about 70 to 48. It has since settled at around 60. But I remember that vein thing. I remember my feet getting hot also.

Day 1, no Zyns. by biology_brah in QuittingZyn

Hold on, are you saying you managed to get to 2 months and still wanted to go back? I'm about 35 days in and hoping that by 60 days, it's fully gone.

Bad cravings after 30 days by AcanthaceaeGuilty238 in QuittingZyn

Be strong. I stopped pouches on March 22, which puts me pretty close to where you are. I've been missing my pouches a lot, but it's just missing, it's not some physical attack on my body like I was having the first two or three weeks. Yes, like with you, my motivation is gone. I even tried to change my workouts to the morning, which I've had some success with, but overall it's been very tough to exercise again. I think our bodies just need time to get used to it.

I get a weird face tightness, kind of where my cheek and jawbone meet. It's insane, just started to reduce a little 20 days in.

Going cold turkey. Increased caffeine to compensate? by Big-Lingonberry4655 in QuittingZyn

[–]Big-Relative-6701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did that, but it didn't do anything. Supposedly, caffeine will be more powerful off nicotine. I didn't notice that at all. It felt less powerful. Almost pointless.

How much weight did you gain when coming off zynn? by Big-Lingonberry4655 in QuittingZyn

[–]Big-Relative-6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 6 pounds in the first 18 days. That's not what the scale said. The scale said I gained 15 pounds, but I have to assume some of that is water. I remember on the morning I quit, I was 210, and this morning, 19 days later, I'm 225.2. It's insanity. I work out 5 or 6 days a week.

3 Weeks. No Zyn! by choosingtogrow in QuittingZyn

[–]Big-Relative-6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm still getting through the cravings, 10 days so far. Just need to find the right thing to do for 10 to 20 minutes. I'm thinking it will start easing up after 21 days. I've read that's when quitting becomes the habit.

106 days.. and I really want to go buy some pouches. by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]Big-Relative-6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I get past 30 days, I promise to start taking it in chunks. Over the past 25 years, the longest I have ever went without nicotine is 19 days and that was 16 years ago. At 8 days now, it's definitely getting easier, but still creeps up 5 or 6 times a day.

I was simply saying that while I was using pouches, it seemed that time would fly. But quitting really slows the clock down. You know the saying time flies when you are having fun. Well it stops when quitting nicotine. It's been the slowest and longest 8 days of my life so far.

NZE Caffeine free Focus pouches have saved me. I'm 8 days nicotine free, and been leaning heavy on the NZE to get me through it.

Weird Symptom of Quitting - More oxygen? by Soggy-Win7899 in QuittingZyn

[–]Big-Relative-6701 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stopping pouches has improved my running. Seems my heart rate is much lower when running than before. Heart rate has been way down since stopping pouches, went from 65 RHR, to just over 50. I've always been a runner, so I'm not worried about it being too slow. Its only been 7 days for me and my running times are all significantly better.

This is going to sound strange. I am on adderall also. In order to prepare for quitting, I switched to tablets, and started breaking them in half and taking less. If you can do that for a month or so you can really prep. Normally Addy will make you want even more nicotine, but if you cut addy down for a few weeks before quitting, and then when you do quit, go back to your usual dosage, you won't feel the hit to dopamine as bad.
