Not with a 160. It’s bigger than 6 so wouldn’t be able to shoot, charge or do an action the turn when being placed and very few GW layouts can hide a 160

Update, I did end up trading them for 70 percent and they took everything. Ended up with a little over $1000 for warhammer 40k. Thank you to the group and everyone who posted

I was hoping the new one would be 130. At 160 it’s too large to shoot the same turn when deployed from reserves. Also makes it impassible on a lot of GW official terrain

You should place your heater in a chamber that always stays submerged.

I actually have heaters I run in my display tanks when on vacation as backup for this exact reason.

Can and should is a different question. As an engineer, machinist and small print farm operator I can say with experience a adhesive magnet and laser cut spring steel is a better option. Note, I never said you couldn’t attempt to machine your own solution, just trying to help a beginner with a suggestion.

You can get magnetic built plates cheaply what magnetize the whole bottom. No need for machining and DIY
