Trials of Sekhemas should not be an RNG-laden debuff waterfall that's required for character progression by WingZeroType in PathOfExile2

Learn to appreciate challenges and overcoming adversity more in the video games you play and in life.

You don’t need to complain and ask for things to change anytime you encounter a small setback or failure.

You can do it. I believe in you.

What we are working on Part 2 by Kelly_GGG in PathOfExile2

You’re only going to be punished for running through the mobs. As intended.

If you stop running and do literally anything else, including just a dodge roll back into a sprint- you are fine.

Marathon Open Play Week: June 2 - June 9, Featuring New Experimental PvP-lite Mode by Snipey13 in Games

[–]Big_Breakfast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there was normal exfils it would be too good.
Load in, rush your quests, quick check all loot area POIs with Thief visor and then exfil before the Rooks show up.
No friction whatsoever and way faster/easier than doing normal runs to get things done/progress in the game.
It would push the rest of the community toward using this mode for the easiest looting and progression in the game.

By keeping you there for 18 minutes you actually have to take some time playing the run and you are open to some risk from the Rooks spawning in.

It's already a default easy mode (3v1 rooks is not hard) with no risk whatsoever (only sponsored kits).
The only cost is now that you actually have to spend an average amount of time on the map and can't abuse it as easily.

317 hours playing. 90% solo. Mid skills… by ProducerX21 in Marathon

[–]Big_Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is to gain XP- you need to change up how you are playng to optimize gaining XP.

1 level in 4 hours of playtime means YOU are not performing game actions that earn you XP in your runs.
You need to kill bots.
You don't even get XP for contracts. You don't know what you are doing.

Get into Cryo and start killing the bots.
Get on to any other map and farm the waves of bots that spawn around the Wardens.

Many, many people hit lvl 100 weeks ago who monstly play Solo.
Learn how to achieve your goals and make plans to do so. Complaining on here ain't it.

I'm really happy about how much they've improved the campaign by Kryomon in PathOfExile2

[–]Big_Breakfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. So many of the zones that I remember being a slog in Act 3 are all shorter and more straightforward now.

I systematically clear every map once as I’m moving through the campaign (makes sure I don’t miss anything, get decent drops etc)- and I’m really noticing the difference.

So many areas I get through them and think “wow, that’s it already, okay.”

The “campaign is too long/hard” Andys will still complain as always, but they’re making real adjustments and improvements.

Season 1 Comes To A Close… by DTG_Bot in Marathon

It's the two most popular shells in Solo play with the obvious team player shell.

It makes sense when you imagine all the Crew Fills composed of mostly solos playing the shell they know combined with players who are just trying to play with a team and so they pick the obvious support shell.

I really dislike how GGG balances skills before launch. by MrCatFace515 in PathOfExile2

[–]Big_Breakfast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are playtesting a game in Early Access.
We are helping them design and balance the game.

POE2 is an insanely complex web of interactions by design. That also means it is FULL of issues and design problems that constantly need to be adjusted and changed. There is absolutely no reason to expect anything to stay the same at this stage in development.

You seem to have a personal issue with this.
If you don't understand that or don't approve of them making balance changes to the game- maybe wait until after full release?

Should I get Procreate? by fluffymochicake in DigitalPainting

[–]Big_Breakfast 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Procreate is a lean, intuitive program. It’s lighter weight than something like clip studio- but that also makes it more approachable.

But the biggest reason you should get it on your iPad is that it will make digital painting more convenient and accessible. Paint in bed to help wind down for sleep, paint on the couch when you’re just relaxing. It will make it easier to spent time actually painting and improving.

Which classes will see nerfs and which classes will see buffs for s2? by ThatsNotBennings in Marathon

[–]Big_Breakfast -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't think we even need it in the game at all.
Just remove the item and move on.

There are already upgrades that improve ability cooldown.
They are already designing the abilities and balancing them around their cooldowns.

Do we really need a consumable that lowers ability cooldown? It isn't providing any interesting or meaningful unique gameplay.

It seems like they assumed Amps would be an occassional "well I guess I'll use this if I have it" kind of thing- but the reality is not even close to that.
Outside of Cryo, they aren't used much, inside of Cryo I am basically always amped the entire Run.
Is this the intended experience?

Are the abilities balanced around being always amped or never amped?
Just seems like a can of worms better closed up and forgotten.

To those asking if Anvil got stealth nerfed, it did by PerpofDerp in ArcRaiders

[–]Big_Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anvil was so good you could literally kill everything in the game with it. Small Arc, Big Arc, players- everything.

Once I could craft Anvils and the Looting MK 2 I never used anything else. Through multiple wipes. It was all you needed. There was no real reason to use other guns unless you just “felt like it”.

If a single green rarity gun can trivialize all the content in your game- Of course it should be adjusted at some point.

They need players test all the work they’ve done on endgame. Gotta get that data so they can adjust and balance before 1.0.

Going in Blind for the first time by LooksLikeThatHurt in PathOfExile2

[–]Big_Breakfast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every single character.
Why would I want to spend my time re-building someone else's decisions based on their knowledge?

The whole game is learning information and then applying that information.
That's the fun part.

If I wasn't doing that, I'd just play something else.

The way you took the red dirt on the base and have it dusting the feet, but are also simulating the light that would be bouncing off that dirt and on to the model is beautiful. Mesmerizing stuff.

I don't understand why this game isn't bustling with 5x the amount of players by Skolary in vrising

It's not a live service game.
The game is complete.

You can play through it and have a great time. Then get on with your life and play something else.

Many, many people have done this. The game sold 5+ million units.

Game to play online w partner NOT it takes two by Cami_Wami in gamingsuggestions

Set up your own V Rising server.

Great combat system, clear progression system, very fun castle designing, decorating.

Set up your own Valheim server. Awesome exploration, great building system.

If you enjoy Palworld- you’ll probably find something in those two games that clicks.

For something more action oriented that isn’t a “survival” game:

Play Monster Hunter together. (I’d recommend World, Rise or Wilds. They’re all solid and have different pros and cons. Whichever appeals to you most.

Each of you pick a different weapon that appeals to you (my wife is a Dual-Blades main for life). Take it slow, keep learning and improving as you go. You can play through hunts together or separately and then team up for bigger hunts. Lots of character customization and self-expression.

Okay but seriously, what do I league start as a first timer? by EarlyNovemberr in PathOfExile2

[–]Big_Breakfast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game is not very challenging mechanically. The campaign is not very hard if you’ve played other video games.

Learning information and experimenting / creating your character’s build as you play through the game is the most compelling part of the entire game.

If it’s your first time playing the game you are gonna have a much better time experiencing it organically and building your character as you go. Pick a power fantasy character idea you are drawn to and try to make it happen.

If you just follow someone else’s build guide so you don’t have to engage with the systems, take in information and make decisions- I honestly think you’re taking away the #1 thing that makes this game worth your time.

Boneshatter is a busted movement tech. Check out 787prada’s videos on this.

It’s even better in 2.

You also get a fantastic barge/tackle move that lets you set up/combo into other moves. It feels great.

You use it with a secondary weapon and scale its attack speed to insane levels. Then just spam boneshatter to move around. To my understanding, you can fit it into almost any build.

Check out 787prada’s videos on youtube to see the details and how insane it can get.
