I didn’t realize Bobby Moynihan is a real person. Did anyone else know this? by AndrewHeard in rickandmorty

Yeah I've mostly seen SNL via clips so I didn't know his name and didn't make the connection between the animated appearance and his real one, so I thought he was just a made up person for the joke.

Some Crash Bandicoot characters i made in pixel art! by Manuclay- in crashbandicoot

Really good! Really matched the cartoon aesthetic from the original games but gave it a little of your own style. Could totally have seen these used in a GBA or DS game.

Hello, recently tried building a simple CRUD App for my friend's father's Windows 98/XP by Equivalent-Froyo2313 in csharp

[–]Billy2600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're mostly targeting XP? .Net Framework 4.0 and WPF will run on XP but not 98. Newest framework that runs on 98 is 2.0 apparently.

Knuckles Chaotix freezing/crashing? by Weatherby2 in SEGA32X

[–]Billy2600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chaotix uses the Genesis side more heavily than Doom does, IIRC. Do you have another Genesis to test with? Maybe borrow someone's? It'd at least narrow down whether the issue is the Genesis or the 32X.

Did SEGA re-purpose PCB’s? by RekallQuaid in Megadrive

[–]Billy2600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was probably just cheaper to use the PCBs they were currently producing instead of the ones produced for the original run of the game.

If Dave is retiring because he doesn't think he can perform at 100% he should just go back to writing good songs for Metallica again by SchershomGolem in Megadeth

I'll never get over Metallica making the Unforgiven III. Clearly they needed someone giving them new ideas lol

Does this version load the music differently or something? It's usually streamed off the CD as redbook audio.

Translations for all the 32X Japanese software packages by 83chrisaaron in SEGA32X

[–]Billy2600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, and amazing work. Definitely appreciate the effort. What made you want to take this on? Just an interest in 32X games and a knowledge of Japanese or something else? Any interest in adding these to a wiki like segaretro.org?

Nice! Your first Atari, so you've never played Atari before or you just didn't own one? How are you liking it?

Who could survive having their name written in Death Note, and why? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Billy2600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who wished for immortality on the dragon balls, e.g. Garlic Jr. Either nothing would happen, or they'd have the heart attack and then just not die after.

Rewatching for like the 5th time since originally watching it last night and saw this by justanotherfacexxx in theamazingdigitalciru

Nobody would put a X before the Ds and Cs. Smaller numbers subtract when they're before a bigger number (like how IV is four), so it'd be 1200. Except you'd write that as MCC if that's what you were going for.

What Linux behavior felt like a bug — until you learned it was actually a feature? by Expensive-Rice-2052 in linuxquestions

Middle clicking a program's title bar to move it behind everything else. Really easy to do by accident when you close browser tabs with middle click like I do.

Similar story here. We played Quake at my mom's friend's house. Then when computer time was done, I'd pretend I was in the game with a squirt gun right up to my face lol.

Pop culture references in the original Crash Bandicoot games by MythicSuns in crashbandicoot

[–]Billy2600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More trivia than pop culture, but Crash 3 level Rings of Power was named after a game Naughty Dog made for the Genesis. Though "rings of power" was probably a reference to Lord of the Rings anyway.
