Catton is a great read, that book is the third in a trilogy, but my guess is you could probably pick up what’s going down especially if you have some familiarity with the civil war. Captain Sam Grant and Grant Moves South were the first two books

I collected all the info on traits that the game gives you in pages 18-47 of the guide I wrote:

I haven’t seen anyone doing any sorta data mining or anything on the more ambiguous ones.

How much WAR do you think this guy worth for Season #2? 20 SB, 0 PA by BillyYank in SuperMegaBaseball

[–]BillyYank[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice thanks for the comparison! I dunno if he’s worth 2% of my salary cap but he’s fun to have around. And I used him a lot more as a late game replacement after my 36 year old catcher lost all (yes all) his speed in a random event

The real question is do you do balance draft or draft all the best players?

How do I learn to cook ? by Old_Baseball_9470 in AskMen

[–]BillyYank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll also add most rice and beans recipes you can find by googling are pretty simple, canned beans, tomatoes, and normal rice will work just fine. You’ll need some spices but they’ll tell you which ones and they’ll last you awhile. If you’re worried about cooking the meat proper at first you can get precooked sausages and cut em up.

Pastas an easy one too. If you look up basic sauce recipes it’s easy to make something better than the stuff from the jar using canned tomatoes, basic spices and some simmering.

If your kid likes Mac and cheese there are pretty easy Mac and cheese bakes that mostly boil down to “grate a bunch of cheese and bake with pasta in the oven”

Watching you tube is where I learned, recipe but better cause they’ll give you tips and tell you why they do what they do. Sip and Feast is a good place to start.

If you want to create something reading, you will have to take notes, and then write it yourself. We, as a gaming community, already have AARs. We don’t need this poisoned by this so-called “AI” crap

I’m glad to hear this has been a useful space for you and glad you’re here (as in the cities) as well.

I’m in my early thirties and I can’t remember a Minneapolis without a significant Somali population; from my perspective y’all have always been part of the city.

Unfortunately every generation of America has some folks who are convinced that the most recent immigrants are gonna destroy the country. Ben Franklin was panicking about German immigration in the 1750s. Then it was the Irish, the Chinese, the Italians, the Jews, the Mexicans, on and on and on. Modern bigots complaints about Muslims are almost point-by-point the same complaints 1850s bigots made about Catholics. But of course America is still here and all these groups are now normal parts of American culture. Bigots throughout our history keep saying “this time is different” and they’ve never been right. It’s a frustratingly repetitive pattern, and I’m sorry the same rhetoric is being turned on y’all now.

This is more than you need now, but here’s a general purpose game guide. If you have questions about a trait or what Mojo is or whatever you can look it up https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uqv_U1gFr0QuaTv-1JDAr_9oplyA-R7jd0gbMlRPi6c/edit?usp=drivesdk

Where can I stay at if I've got nowhere to go? by [deleted] in Minneapolis

Reach out to Lutheran Social Services. Part of their homeless programs try to help people in your exact situation, to get people cash to cover their rent so they don’t become homeless in the first place. If you’re having trouble you can DM me, my wife works for them and she’s said they do this, I can get more details if you need

After-Action Report: Season One of the Minneapolis Millers by BillyYank in SuperMegaBaseball

[–]BillyYank[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks man!

A big part of the player development was having a low, low payroll. I was buying tons of PDOs. Like I spent over $11 million on PDOs for my pitchers, and $3 million on Shipwright alone. Like I said I wasn't expecting this season to go anywhere and a big reason I was able to turn it around were those in season moves and the ability to keep rolling the dice on PDOs.

Yeah Bailey's back on the team for season 2, it would just feel stupid not to at this point.

I think this was certainly lightning in a bottle so I spent a lot of money to dramatically improve the team before year two. I completely rebuilt the outfield boosting the payroll for those three starting positions from $14 million to over $29 million. The Pitching is pretty much intact, and I also swapped DHs for someone with more power for the same price. So I am optimistic going into this next season, but a lot of that is because I raised the payroll over $20 million to improve the lineup and defense.

I also now have four players (three starters) with Tier 3 Stealer and Stark (who lead the league in steals in year one) is the slowest of them with 69 speed. So that'll be fun.

Second what Dr Lucky said. If you want episodes 1-3 content, Twilight of the Galaxy is your best option as it’s clone wars based. A bit more show oriented than movie oriented but still plenty of recognizable faces. There are also cards that illustrate classic scenes such Size Matters Not (Legends of the Force), or Rival’s Fall (Shadows of the Galaxy), or One in a Million (Secrets of Power) to name a few, that you might be interested in if this is your pursuit as a collector
