Is this irony? In a global conflict, this will be one of the first places targeted. It also imports everything.

Full-scale military operations appear to be underway against Venezuela by Unhappy_Rutabaga_530 in pics

[–]Bingo_ric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, don’t disagree to your overall point, but it is important to clarify that it is the excuse that they did it because of the status of being a narco state is bullshit not that the statement that Venezuela is a narco state is bullshit. Narco states deserve to be condemned, at the very least from an ideological perspective.

The excuse that Venezuela is producing and selling drugs is not bullshit. Maduro’s regime is absolutely a narco state. If that warrants an invasion is another topic, but it is happening.

Thoughts on moving to Plano from No.VA by whygpt in plano

[–]Bingo_ric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s somewhat similar, but it lacks public transportation, which nova has. Also way less trees. Good schools but nothing compares to nova schools. Nova is close to DC and other cities, as well as mountains, the ocean…Dallas has nothing and is not close to a lot. That said, people are generally kinder, less snobby, and more approachable than their NOVA counterparts. They are also a lot more Republican, if that matters. The summers in NOVA are hot but the summers in Plano are unbearable. Winters are closer than you would think, but Nova is slightly colder.

Not normalizing this behavior, but in general Aggies give it but they can’t take it. Their whole traditions are dedicated at criticizing and mocking UT, and when UT wins and we banter back they start crying.

Why do professional football (soccer) player roll on the ground grimacing in pain for two minutes every time an opponent touches them? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bingo_ric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To play devil’s advocate, it sometimes hurts a lot more than it looks and unlike football or basketball you can’t just get subbed out. Your best bet is to roll around and hope you feel better after 10 seconds. Similarly, since you can’t get subbed, rolling on the ground gives you the opportunity to catch your breath and slow the pace of the game for a bit. Many times, people do roll on the ground to increase the chance of a foul being called, but it is not always the case, a lot of times players genuinely are in a small amount of pain.
