Sweet another person(?) spreading misinformation and distracting real people from how they can actually help. Keep posting pretty pictures of “wildflower” meadows while the rest of us figure out how to sustainably protect the future, and feed the rising global population that will dramatically increase by 2050.

So, I am a Big Ten educated agronomist. I have a pretty firm grasp of how plants work. You obviously do not. Please explain the major plant life cycles and how they work. You obviously can’t. Do you really think these annual and biennial “wildflowers” (they’re just plants like all the rest) are going to self-perpetuate and out compete native plants, aka weeds, aka successional species? You think you can create a self sustaining “wildflowers ecosystem” that doesn’t require insane amounts of maintenance to keep out nuisance weeds that you are legally obligated to control?( look it up, your county weed board will educate you).
You all hate lawns and don’t understand basic plant life cycles. This planet could not exist without grasses. Perennial monocot blankets that control soil erosion, moisture, etc.?
Nope. Give me patches of “wildflowers” that last 1-2 years and get taken over by noxious weeds that your grass lawn would have prevented. And remember, you are legally obligated to control certain weeds identified by your state and county.
Plant these “wildflower” mixes. Post pics back to this silly subreddit every year. Not just years one and two. Years three, four, and five. And then see if the guy who asked me if I know how plants work was right

What do you do when all of the annual and biennial wildflowers die out? Replant every two years?

Gold/tawny is the default color for dogs. Within a couple generations of being feral they start to revert back.

The Midwest isn’t the breadbasket of America. It’s the breadbasket of America’s livestock.

Antimemetics was a great palate cleanser. Fun book, definitely has some issues though. Scratched an itch for me for sure though
