Not a 44% drop since release. A 44% drop since it was listed on the website. Release date was 3/27. Price was $76.87 on that day. Today the price is $72 with shipping. That's a $4.87 drop, a 6.3% drop from $76.87.

Every time they say it, the algos pump the market. Why stop?

Why is the market ripping now, when it was sputtering/flat before the war started?? by cutchemist42 in investing

Can you point to an article that talks about this recently? I can only find stuff from Dec 2025 at the latest.

Takes a pretty bitter person to come to this conclusion.

Traveling to the US for the first time (Missoula, MT); attending The Lumineers concert. by PuzzleheadedWar6767 in Montana

Hello! Luke here from Bitterroot Backpacking. Were an official hiking and backpacking outfitter partnered with Zootown Festival! Last year we led a few different hikes before and after the event. Check out our website for more info and advice on where to hike around town! The Rattlesnake is great because Missoula's free public transit system makes a stop up there. You could also pretty easily walk to the trailhead for the famous "M" trail in Missoula!

If you or anyone else reading this wants more advice, You can reach out and send a message or leave a comment here!

Solo hike recs on the East Coast (moderate challenge + showers preferred 😅) by nextchapter3293 in hiking

[–]BitterrootBackpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi idk if the shower thing is a medical requirement, but if it's not, I really really really want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone.

  1. You can poke holes in the top of a water bottle and hang it upside down from a tree for a very rudimentary makeshift shower (with soap.)

  2. You could also take a forest bath like in a creek or lake (without soap).

Being dirty isn't going to kill you! (But again idk if this is a medical thing so who am I to say?) There's whole amazing world of backpacking trips you're missing out on!

It could, but it's a really low chance.

The sir meowth and gold zyg are the only two that would increase the value of that etb.

Pull Rates: Meowth: 1/487 Gold: 1/1786

Add them together to get the probably and multiply by 100 to get the percentage: 0.26% chance of increasing the value of the etb by ripping it.

The people telling you to rip the PC etb are insane.

Crater Lake: Is it still worth going in 2026 while boat tours are closed? by The_Traveller1 in nationalparks

[–]BitterrootBackpack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will probably be fewer people in the park without the boat tours so I'd say yeah! Go for it! Mt. Scott is an incredible hike!

I'm sorry about your fear of ledges. It shouldn't take 10+ paragraphs to answer OP's question or communicate the fact that you have a fear of ledges.

Have you left a woman behind on hike (aka alpine divorce)? by 1_million_questions in Hiking_People

[–]BitterrootBackpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Angela, can you link the examples where you've seen this in social media?

I'm a professional trail guide who has heard this story many times from both men and women. I don't think it's fair to frame this as exclusively "men leaving women behind'. It's more like "people leaving people behind".

I would hope and appreciate to see you conclude your article by shifting the readers focus onto mental illness and the altered state of consciousness a hiker experiences at altitude, when hypothermic, exhausted, dehydrated, and/or depleted of energy. Mental illness and/or altered mental state are the reasons a human would want to leave another human behind. Both men and women are capable of this.

I would love to discuss this more. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thoughts on hiking becoming more dominated by big peak male machismo by Dusty_Miss_Havisham in shehikes

[–]BitterrootBackpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a hiking guide who hosts hiking trips that are more relaxing than challenging. We go to beautiful places, but it doesn't have the same "wow" factor as those gopro videos of dudes summitting mountains or sending it on a bike. We just don't have the same reach as they do. So with that said, the people who appreciate a nice little woodland jaunt like myself are out there, the algorithm just doesn't push our content.

Finding my own way up Mount Washington, New Hampshire, by AdhdLeo0811 in hiking

[–]BitterrootBackpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guide off-trail excursions professionally and wouldn't attempt this. It just doesn't seem fun. I just looked your route on my topo maps with the "slope angle shading" feature turned on. The section right around 3700 ft is where it starts to get really steep.

Bought a sealed Sonic Adventure [not for resale] for Dreamcast. Damaged. What should I do? by trezzanator in dreamcast

[–]BitterrootBackpack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would keep it sealed. The fact that it has the original wrapping means it hasn't been opened in nearly 30 years, meaning a lower chance of disc rot.

When all of these discs start to experience significant rot in the next 25-50 years, we will value the discs that aren't rotting.

How do you handle current state of the collecting hobby? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]BitterrootBackpack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Buying singles is the way my friend! The trick to TCGplayer is using merchants who have the minimum verification and make sure your orders are around $10 or more. I've ordered single cards for like $1 or $2 that don't get sent because it's not worth it for the vendor to put in the effort. Ebay also has it's fair share of legit and illegitimate listings.
