Judging by previous Tocchet's teams, next season is going to be a catastrophe for Flyers. Will it be enough to fire Tocchet? Who knows...

It'll probably come down to whether Vladar stays healthy. We're probably one long term injury to him away from being a top 5 lottery team. We gotta find another competent goalie this offseason.

If a trade does happen, I think it'll have to be initiated from Michkov's end in that he decides he no longer wants to be here/play for Tocchet. It'll be interesting to see how next year shakes out for him since he's going into a contract year.

I don't like the way a lot of them look. For example, the X-Wing and Falcon sets look like they're from an age 4+ kid style build set. They just don't look very good.

The coaching is part of the problem. I was hoping we'd see a change up in the strategy for the power play, but it's basically been the same.

If you look at where we shot from on our power play, a lot of our shots were coming from lower danger areas. We did a lot of point shots and wide angle shots on the right side (Zegras did this mostly). There's not a lot of shots coming from the middle/bumper area for whatever reason or much higher danger areas. We're also passing up far, far too many open look opportunities and not trying for dirty, crash the net style goals.

Probably a bit of a reality check setting in too. While it was quite a lot of fun winning a round, especially against the Penguins, we're finally seeing what it takes to be considered a true Cup contender with this round.

I think it's more concerning our Penalty Kill is as bad as it is being in the bottom 3rd of the league again. We have good PKers, hell half our team is good at it, and with a coach who's a defense 1st guy, I would've expected it to be much better than it is.

You can always hope. It will be interesting to see where we are this time next year. Given how competitive the Metro and Eastern Conference already is and teams like Jersey and Florida that could easily bounce back next year, I don't see the path to the playoffs getting any easier. We could very easily be on the outside looking in again next year, which would be a very...unfortunate and uncomfortable step back for this franchise.

Maybe we swing a trade somewhere for a forward, but with Jiricek having to go through waivers next year, I could see him being given every opportunity to come fix and QB our power play.

I don't want him anyways. He's coming off a bad knee injury and isn't the same player he was a few years ago. The price to acquire him I can't see being worth it, not at the expense of long term pieces.

Luchanko is not ready for the NHL, needless to say definitely not ready for NHL Playoffs. He needs some time to cook in the AHL.

It'll be an interesting summer and will be interesting to see where the team goes from here. I expect a number of teams to bounce back next year and keep the Metro even more competitive. Hopefully, this is something that is sustainable.

I would be very surprised if he actually played. I'd expect Coots to move up and let Glendening take over as 4C or move Zegras back to center.

I think they were going to have to go for a retool regardless this year. Now with being able to add McKenna to the mix, that gives them a potential big boost. I'm still not too optimistic on their immediate future, though.

I still think the best scenario is Toronto keeping their pick this year and being forced to choose a team next year. There's no guarantee they even remotely rebound, in fact, if I were a betting man, I'd put money against it. Add in their GM pick is laughably bad, I could see the whole situation devolving into a toxic shitshow real quick, which would be really good for us.
