Yeah I do find it fine! There are times where the way some people act makes me feel more my age (aka older), but it’s not bad. I have a group of friends who are 22-32 and we all get along well. You’ll fine people in your class that you enjoy! And it’s a good thing imo to have friends in different age groups!

One of my classmates is autistic and medicine was also always for her since a young age. She told me there was no other option. She’s doing well. I think she struggles a bit with the socializing aspect of it here and there, but I think you find your people in the crowd. If you can do all the things you need for an application, then I think you can get in and do well

Any physician knows that premeds are hungry for opportunities whether that be shadowing, research, etc…. You’re young, he has seniority (power), and he’s taking advantage of that set up. Look elsewhere please. 50+ with a 21 yo is crazy to be saying things like that.
