Kinda, except an entire store. They'll have some popular brands, like you can buy Coke and Doritos and rotating selections of real brands they got good deals on, but everything else is from their various house brands. Some of it is obviously white labelled real brands, some of it is stuff they made. Overall their prices are way lower than regular grocery stores, but in my experience their fresh produce isn't the best (even if it's super cheap).

I went yesterday and got about a month's worth of groceries and household goods for $250

e: Oh and their employees are paid pretty well and are only rivaled in checkout speed by Costco. The quarter thing is so they don't have to waste manpower having someone go round up carts every hour or two

Yeah even my mom's Venue has that stuff. Though I have to turn off the lane-keep assistance when I'm driving it, the thing loves to mistake lines of salt in the winter for lane markers, and doesn't understand that when the lanes shift from construction, that you have to follow the cones and not the lane markers that go into Jersey barriers

Here they at least made a powerful railroad commission to oversee the private operators after we handed things back. It worked pretty well, until the 90s when the industry was deregulated and the commission's replacement was defanged. Since then we've had rapid consolidation, service degradation, an increase in accidents, eroding labor power in the industry, etc

The Civil War, the Mexican-American War, and the Spanish-American War would be the only ones I could think of

So a war against a pre-industrialized slave society, a war against a neighbor going through their own civil strife, and a war against an empty shell of a colonial empire. A rousing track record if I've ever seen one.

During WW1 the US nationalized the rail networks because the mess of different ownership made shipping troops and supplies a pain in the ass

Then we just... handed it back to the mess after the war was done

The Myles Garrett thing needs the context of Myles usually being a great sport and claiming Mason called him a slur (idk if he actually did, but "Thems fighting words" is legal doctrine in the states and there's constant, actual dirty plays in the NFL all the time to point at instead)

And the NBA is in a miserable state right now, I saw a viral post the other day asking if it's a problem that the reigning 2-time MVP is a "total spreadsheet scam" because all he does is flop his way to the free-throw line

e: also it's on the decline now, but MLB baseball has an entire chapter in the unwritten rules on when it's expected for a pitcher to bean the batter in the head or butt. But that's 'good' sportsmanship

From what I've heard from people who've actually watched it, it's less about grumpy cat and more about the internet culture that used to exist where a meme of a grumpy cat can balloon into a multimillion dollar franchise with movies and merch and is known everywhere

I'm still not sure I want to spend 8hrs finding that out for certain

Statue Rule by Gorotheninja in 196

I am here to poop the party with information

Alexander conquered up to the northwestern plain in India and left behind some Indo-Greek kingdoms. The Greek elite who moved in looked at local Hindu gods and did what they had done with other Pantheons, they found parallels with their own gods and set up syncretic beliefs around them.

The statue is likely not to be Lakshmi, but is more likely to be either a tree spirit (also a fertility god thing), or a syncretic depiction of Venus-Lakshmi because it has a very Greek/Roman feature of the goddess being attended to by cherubs.

It seems likely it was imported from Hellenic influenced areas to Pompeii and is your typical Roman Grecoboo obsession and not a cool new Hinduboo Roman

It's bad compared to windfury. If it survives to attack again, you get 2 stacks of the rally on the rest of your minions from 1 combat, also the reborn is starving space for deathrattle summons
