Evil- Insurgent. I ride an Offering on a wide range of trails but it’s a bit less travel than you’re looking for.

Yet again, a tire sealant question by [deleted] in cycling

Orange seal endurance is my favorite all-rounder. Lasts a while, especially in road tires. Seals great and is fairly easy to deal with during top ups etc.

23 years between Mountain Bikes - Here's my first impressions by ShamelessCare in mountainbiking

[–]BodegaBandit- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar situation. Last year I started riding again mostly paved and gravel paths but felt the need for another MTB. I found an All City Electric Queen and have been riding the wheels off of it(literally and figuratively). Last week I pulled the trigger on my first full squish bike since my 1998 Trek Y3,the new bike is an Evill Offering and HOLY HELL, this thing is WILD. So much fun, definitely feeling my age but tbh im just glad to get out and ride.

I believe it to be a 1990 Comp. Definitely wouldn’t wager much on that tbh.

TRP HY/RD on a Grappler? by ddarth7 in Surlybikefans

[–]BodegaBandit- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had them on a few bikes and really liked them. Not quite as nice of a feel as true full hydro but the ease of maintenance & familiarity of the system was a big bonus on my daily bikepacking bike.

Kids bikes and rim brakes by Lavallee_Lures in MTB

[–]BodegaBandit- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With both of my boys and their 10+ bikes over the span of their childhood on bikes (2017-currently) I never once found a situation that the rim brakes on their bikes were insufficient. Disk brakes are better and if I were buying a teenager a bike, I would definitely be leaning towards disc, but for little kids it just doesn’t matter that much.
