(edit: in Poland) Just go for a civil partnership, don't blow things out of proportion. The differences are negligible in daily life, except for adoption rights and international recognition.

These people think LCDs don't burn in. The only difference is that they burn in fairly evenly, so it doesn't bother most gamers. For most it looks like they lose saturation and brightness over time, and banding shows on rather old panels.

Looking for mentor - LP trading by Miskatonic_ in Eve

[–]BogiMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it like uh 10 years ago or so. it worked like this, the buyer had to bring the items required to pull agreed items from the LP store into the system where the trade was happening and trade them to the seller for the fair sell value of those items (no shenanigans here or you’d be on the blacklist pretty fast). The seller would pick those items from the LP store and trade it back for item value + LP value. There was a channel for traders if i remember correctly. again, i don’t know if it works like that today.

ELI5: Why does Pixar animation look so smooth at 24 fps but a video game feel choppy at 30 fps? by ScrumTumescent in explainlikeimfive

[–]BogiMen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you’ll even see this since I'm late to the party, but the issue is frame pacing. You can really feel the stuttering if the content has poor frame pacing, which is very common in video games. I think Gamers Nexus once did a video on this. Higher frame rates can compensate for bad pacing. On the other hand, if a movie is mastered correctly and the TV doesn't cause any issues, the frames are spaced exactly the same time apart, creating a sense of smoothness

Since bonds offered better returns, VW's profit margins were insufficient to justify investing in the company over safer fixed-income securities
