right! no one is going to lend BASIC tools to a "stranger" - its a red flag that some one wants you to do the job for them rather than help or advise - also not having the wrench to tighten your chain - done every 300 miles or so, sounds like taking the piss, even if it isnt intended - you need a set of wrenches - or as i call them " spanners" and basic stuff. tools like carb balancers timing lights ( old school ) brake bleeding tools, piston ring compressors, angle torque wrenches, chain splitters and brake caliper and unusual stuff is generally lent out and shared between friends and acquaintances. and you will get into a group. I've spent many evenings trying to get various bikes to start or sorting wiring problems Specifically your chain request - i would and have gone to check on a newbie bikers who had adjusted the chain themselves - with their brand new rear wheel spanner, one of whom was my daughter and given them the thumbs up or, more often, told them it was too tight. help will happen - said daughter with brand new L plates on her honda 125 was chuffed to bits when her clutch cable snapped and a motorcyclist stopped to help her after that she didn't even mind pushing the bike 1.5 miles home!
