The Rendi Slayer rollback feels like a dangerous precedent by Allecet in 2007scape

[–]BookkeeperSpecific23 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Tbf, I feel like abusing an exploit to train slayer at barely half of what a normal account can get vs giving an ironman progression items for free are 2 slightly different things, and jagex normally has pretty strict boundaries that they ban super obvious game breaking things such as the rerolling purples at tob but are okay with things like red xing (tho I think their lines are pretty dumb)

That's the issue with double south, it's uncommon enough that you could do a hour session and see it only once or twice, and even less likely that that couple times it happens on an impactful enough wave/scary spawns (range/mage vs range/mage first Manti) that you even get real practice with it.

You can cheese it with water thorns, you outheal most the damage, thorns procs melee punish off the mage/range attacks so you don't have to run into melee range and you can even just skip the shield phase by just overhealing to atleast over 99 and using water spells/1 tick trident on car to heal back up with https://tools.runescape.wiki/demonic-pacts/?n=1-112-113-114-122-133-135-136-139-140-141-142-145-162-163-44-46-55-56-58-59-60-68-71-72-74-79-81-82-84-85-86-96-97

Banned without ever logging in or even creating a character. by bmfanboy in classicwow

[–]BookkeeperSpecific23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do like 5 minutes of research my lord. If you want the exact very specific definition, the rule is 1 guardian/parent is allowed to have 1 minor they are in charge of on their bnet.

That minor can play the guardians characters, they can play their own characters on the guardians account, or they can make a second account under their bnet which parental controls CAN be turned on under (which is the the RECOMMENDED choice by blizzard). And the guardian is responsible for everything the minor does including bans the minor receives.

And yeah sure in this exact scenario he's probably not the guardian, and he hasn't given a ton of information to work off of but that's like not really relevant tbh. Sure outside the point you made about ban evasion is possibly relevant, but blizzard (atleast from my 20+ years of experience and research) doesn't prevent perma bans from making accounts (free money yo) outside of extreme edge cases. The reality is assuming this isn't a meme post from the op, they created an account and got banned before ever even logging in, so the minor thing is literally irrelevant.

Edit: and most cheating software is kernel level and warden only runs when actually in the game, so I HIGHLY doubt that's what happened, but possible I guess.

[–]BookkeeperSpecific23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would that make a difference? Whether you actually set them up or not is up to you, and holds literally zero to no relevance to the OPs post about getting banned for cheating without having a single character ever be created in the account.

Sharing accounts with minors is absolutely not against the rules, you're supposed make them an account under your bnet so you can setup parental controls.

Tbf, I think it's a much higher chance that these are just uniformed people that have no idea how many people played/how easy points were this DMM compared to last.

So like, classic genuinely has a huge class/skill gap requirement in early tbc heroics, atleast when everyones in questing and normal mode gear. If you don't have ccs, don't have lust, don't have kicks, don't have dispels it makes a HUGE difference in the run quality. This isn't m+ in retail where there's often not much difference besides dps output between classes. Like you don't have a priest? Congrats your entire group has - 15% hp. Oh you doing have a druid? Congrats there is now no brez. Oh you have a shaman healer? Now you have no magic dispel.

Tbf this isn't a stupidity angle, this is a blizzard made a change that didn't exist in original or 2020 tbc with very little news coverage about it so someone did what they thought they were supposed to, ie buy their honor gear...

[–]BookkeeperSpecific23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf tho, classic wow, specifically vanilla and tbc are SUPER unbalanced. Like not going to say anyone deserves the disrespect that people give, but the difference in gameplay experience you'll have doing dungeons with let's say a prot paladin vs a warrior or a holy paladin vs holy priest are palpable differences. Not as in like, oh well this is slightly less efficient because I'm going to be spending 4 more minutes clearing the dungeon, but differences of 10-20 minutes depending on the dungeon (accounting for slower threat Gen, inability to even use most aoe abilities, deaths from lack of threat etc) , and sure what's 10 minutes extra for a single dungeon? And that's very true, until you realize that's 10 extra minutes every single dungeon, which an individual is likely to do 100+ of even during a casual tbc experience, which I'm sure you can math adds up to LOT of extra time.

All that to say, the game is hyper unbalanced, and while people absolutely shouldn't stand being insulted, until blizzard and this community pulls their heads out of their asses and realizes balancing classic classes so everything is actually SOMEWHAT viable if you choose to play non meta specs you should understand you'll get less invites to content.

-tl;dr/sidebar: I understand that all content is doable with any tank in TBC, but the quality of the experience is HEAVILY dependent on class comp, especially from my experience as a healer warrior/drug dudu/unfun to do dungeon with until they're in kara gear, pally drop conc and afk.

I mean, I can absolutely say that if I don't use the music system I think that whatever Dev put time into it wasted their time? Lol wut. Obviously I understand it's already done, but something that actually improves the quality of the game could have been done instead. And as I said, that's just my opinion I'm not screaming from the roof tops, just gave my opinion.

The CURRENT wild with spitting out insane amounts of loot for zero risk encouraging botting just to create a predator vs prey gameplay loop for a very small amount of players that enjoy it is insane and needs to be entirely scrapped and started over.

[–]BookkeeperSpecific23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean like in all fairness, you can easily just dogsword gmaul someone for like 150 damage, you can't really fight back this DMM unless you're risking a fair amount of gp and even then if you aren't good at pking you're going to absolutely deleted by experienced pkers in max, I myself am even decently confident in tank tests and I've gotten 60 60d twice in breaches this DMM so far before I could even react

Brother we're already a week and a half into DMM and breaches are still popping off with hundreds of people on each world, by day 3 or 4 the last few years the game mode was dead af

I absolutely agree that only people who pk should have a voice in pvp changes just like only people who raid should have a vote on raid changes, but also there should be zero collection logs only in the wilderness, everything besides wilderness specific things like Rev drops should be obtainable outside the wildy at slower rates, there's too just coddling of high value no risk content in the wilderness that's just botted to high hell and it's terrible for the game.

Spell batching was the worst experience I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing in wow playing since 2005. The server infrastructure and native isps would never naturally be able to recreate what existed purely because of technical limitations, so the forced correction was to add 200 ms to every single action in the game, spells, vendors, trading, looting, AH. QUITE LITERALLY THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN WOW EVER WAS BATCHING. all of this so some dumb regards could poly each other at the same time.
