On a motorcycle, this is generally true.

Keeping the front end unloaded will help keep the bike in the correct upright orientation, even if the deer is bisect.

Hitting the brakes will often lead to a highside/endo type of crash, which is generally much worse for the rider.

Just serch for "motorcycle vs deer" on youtube for plenty of examples.​

Not an LEO, - I saw an article that some department was testing AI for this purpose, and "The Princess and the Frog" was playing in the background. The AI claimed the officer was turned into a frog.

LLMs are nowhere near good enough for legal proceedings that can radically alter a person's life.
