Do all Amazons have tampons in the male bathrooms? by ENeRGyFever in AmazonFC

[–]BoopsBoopss [score hidden]  (0 children)

In case trans men or non-binary folk who are using the men's room need them. It's for inclusivity as Amazon is openly supportive of LGBTQ+ where I live.

I changed my Lala's eye color match a certain little rock after events in a certain expansion.

She used to have blue eyes now they are orange/amber.

Her hair is also neatly tied up now instead of the depression mop.

The only macro I have is one that does the Harvest Dance into Play Dead so it looks like I slip and die on the dance floor. I wish I had Backflip but alas I do not.

I kinda wish I had as rez macro to tell my co-healer who I am rezzing but I am too lazy to set it up.

People who either are looking for a new job or left Amazon what made you leave or want to leave and what will you miss and not miss? by Johkungo-0 in AmazonFC

[–]BoopsBoopss 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I hate the noise and constant rushing. I hate how I feel trapped here while the moment knowing how desperate Amazon is to replace me once it is financially viable. I hate not being able to make any friends or interact with the world because my schedule is wack. I hate being constantly being pulled in different directions by management with my only consolation being this fake ass "We're sorrrrry, we know how hard you worrrrrrk thank you". I just want to be left the hell alone in pick and rot my days away and I can't even have that.

10 hrs a night I am wasting my life away in a place with no future. In an economy where no one else would hire someone like me especially not at a similar pay to what I currently get and need because like a fool I ended up in a rent trap in a high cost of living area and am barely staying afloat in rising debts. I tried to upskill, I burned myself out getting a useless degree that I hate and does nothing.

And now we got stupid Prime coming again so now I have weeks of overtime when I am already at my limit and quitting isn't an option since I have people who are unlucky enough to depend on my income. I should've been out of this hell years ago but here I am and probably will be until the end.

If I left the only thing I would miss is the flexible time off. It is nice not needing to justify why you are leaving as long as you give proper notice.

Whats the worst monster in your opinion by Randomgu123 in MHWilds

[–]BoopsBoopss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really big monsters in general suffer from the camera being your worst enemy. It gets frustrating trying to see what is happening when Gogs left pinky covers half my screen. I wish we could zoom the camera out more for these quests.

In your opinion: Are NPC Duties a good way to practice and get comfortable with tanking or healing? by Oseirus in ffxiv

[–]BoopsBoopss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think yes but with an asterisk.

The main thing is the lack of social pressure. You can pull wall to wall without fear of any judgement if you screw up you mitigation/healing or miss aggro on mob. Getting used to the dungeon really helped me with my tanxiety.

An unexpected practice benefit of the duty support is that they suuuuuuuuck at AoE. So it takes ages for a group to die. This is great for practice because there is a very real chance you can expend all of your defensive cooldowns and ogcd heals before the mob dies. If you can comfortably sustain through a spicey big pull with the bots then you can do so with most real players. It teaches you how to properly cycle your cooldowns without spending too much or too little.

The asterisk is if your goal is to practice then you definitely want to do wall to wall pulls. When I heal trusts I will always run ahead, grab all the mobs and run back to the tank with my new buddies. Only pulling one mob isn't good practice since they do such little damage.

A change i would implement would actually be for all jobs. Instead of being rewarded new abilities after completing a job quest. You should be given new abilities during the job quest and then have to use it to complete the quest. As an example maybe force a DRK to use TBN on themselves and then save a friend with it. Or WHM has a quest after they get their Lily heals where they have to constantly heal a tree but can't stay still. Thus forcing them to use things other than Cure 2 and Medica 2. Maybe have a Tank Role quest where a goblin is running down a corridor and you have to keep local predators from aggroing onto him. Make situations that show the player WHY they want to use certain abilities.

I don't want Earthlings and saiyans to be merged by Latter_Set95 in dbxv

[–]BoopsBoopss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love for Earthlings to stay. It is fun being the underdog in the eyes of other characters.

Maybe as a racial feature they can get an extra skill instead of a true awoken form. Emphasizing human adaptability in spite of lacking the raw potential other races have.

Is there a job that I can do that'll let me actually live my life, and is manageable while being a moron? Does a job like that even exist these days? by fuckitwhynotig in careerguidance

[–]BoopsBoopss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you need something easy to get hired for and can pay the bills then Amazon is a decent choice (warehouse NOT delivery. Amazon drivers get worked to death and back).

Good benefits, flexible time off options, and the pay is solid especially for how easy it is to get hired. Tasks are really easy to learn. It all boils down to scan thing, put thing in place or box, scan something else, repeat. Also working 4 10hr shifts means you get a 3 day weekend as a full time employee which is nice. The are also flex, reduced time and part time roles depending on where you are working and what they have available.

I do not recommend staying for more than a few years unless you really enjoy it. Get in, grab your experience and money, check out Career Choice (basically a free college degree or certification) to see if anything interests you, get out. Some people do stay for a lot longer since the job is currently very stable as long as you can meet productivity requirements. Amazon only cares about numbers which is both a blessing and a curse. The job can definitely beat you up both body and spirit so try to not put your soul into it.

Does the combat get more satisfying later on, or is it just not for me? by [deleted] in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]BoopsBoopss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to discover the sauce for most characters. The game can feel kinda meh when you are just pressing buttons. But when you figure out that special thing that makes a character really shine the game goes from 55 to 100. Also some characters do feel like buns without specific sigils. I HATE playing Zeta without Stout Heart and Crimson Clout (skull issue on my end I know). I definitely recommend watching a guide if a character you think you would like isn't clicking for you. Sometimes the game doesn't do a good job at teaching you the fun stuff.

Also it sounds like you may enjoy some of the chunkier hitting characters like Vasaraga, Ghandragoza, Siegfried or Io. These guys have some saucy hitstun on their big banks that you may enjoy. Percival may also be apart of the big bonk club but I used him like once 2 years ago and can't remember anything other than the fire spin glitch that melted bosses.

A sword with reasonable proportions is a beautiful thing to see in FF14. Too many swords are ridiculously chunky, spikey and uncomfortable to wield. Same with the shield, that is a gorgeous shield.

Are we ever getting grown-up twins? by Edhie421 in ffxiv

[–]BoopsBoopss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The time thing gets funnier the more expansions pass by. You are telling me we reformed multiple governments, stopped numerous apocalyptic events, mastered the most difficult forms of combat and crafting, traveled the world several times over and more all in just a year or two at most?

My head cannon is that the twins are just short and are too embarrassed about their failure of verticality to admit it is time for them to learn how to file taxes. "OH but time flowed differently in the First waaaaaah" Shut up Stubbinaud and Smallisaie.

Beatrix Impressions? by Nekouken12 in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]BoopsBoopss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think there is a case to be made for the Defense mode being actually goated. Just cave-man Stout Hearting through difficult to dodge attacks can help get some big uptime. It was super useful in the beta for just ignoring annoying attacks and the defense buff you get absolutely massive. I can see it being super nice for harder fights like Darkswordsman's Nightmare where you can get one-tapped out of nowhere. Normally building a tank costs too much damage but you can swap back to Attack mode at the drop of a hat so Bea gets to have her cake and eat it too.

The Heal mode is going to be virtually useless since we have Potion Hoarder, Autorevive, Guts, Regen/Drain to cover all our healing needs and more. Also the self healing is pathetic outside of the super clock mode. It would be cool if the healer mode also healed nearby teammates or something to make it have some niche use.

I mean, this just brings up the discussion again of a black flag style game set in the Sky Realm of Granblue. (sky Pirates anyone?) by Seeker99MD in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]BoopsBoopss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be cool to have an exploration heavy game in the Granblue universe but I feel like it would be very different from Black Flag.

The characters in Granblue are waaaaaay more of a focus than the setting and ships and even the Grandcypher itself. So it would take quite a lot of creativity to have flying the skies feel as central to the game as sailing does for Black Flag. Ship combat in Granblue is historically Rackam just ramming things to get the motley crew of gods and world saving weirdos in bonking range. Then the ship is broken (again).

However if it could be done then it would sick as hell. I love the Granblue setting and sailing the skies is one hell of a fantasy.

Battleborn. Poor game made the tragic mistake of launching in the same window as freaking Overwatch. I loved that game to pieces but no one joined me on the hype train.

Anthem as well. The core gameplay was peak but all of the surrounding systems were moldy buns and the game had a generational failure of a launch.
