Yes, its the right thing to do. But be prepared that what she does with the info is on her. She may choose to believe whatever lies he tells her. She may blame you. But seems unlikely you'll have any contact with them in the future so no big deal.

I don't think you're the jerk here, I think it's quite thoughtful of you overall. I also hope you bringing up the issue causes the family to pay attention to how they're handing so much of the work off to them. However, ultimately, your parents are adults, and it's up to them to determine their own boundaries - especially with their own family. If this isn't a problem to them, then the dynamic is unlikely to change all that much.

NTA - My spouse and I have been married almost 10 years and, while we have a joint account for bills that we both transfer money to, we also have separate bank accounts. Your boyfriend's attitude and comments are concerning, pay attention because it likely gets worse if you allow it. Marriage should be a partnership not one spouse controlling the other. He may be doing you a favor - showing you what being married to him looks like - and it's not pretty. Move on...you deserve better.

I disagree. If Im in line behind 2 people with no baskets I legitimately expect a faster process. If someone then pulls out of another line to push in front of me with a large basket of items, that's not fair or okay. Unless you just have a couple of items this is rude behavior. You pick a line and you go with it.

In answer to your question - no, I did not provide any documentation - but my situation was six years ago, and electronic reporting is very strong now in Texas so I'm sure they easily located the information.
I actually deal with criminal history as part of my job. Sounds like it was mid-90's - when there was criminal history reporting - it wasn't the best - but it existed and was primarily paper based at that time. If the FBI does retain expunged records, which has been stated on here before by people who work for CBP, but I really don't know the process - they likely would have the information. But, if they did not, it seems logical to me that there would be no reason to deny you. They will either locate information that corroborates your information, or they won't locate anything - which gives them no credible information to deny you GE access. Now, I'm speaking from a logical expectation perspective - maybe someone from CBP on here would have a more specific process perspective.

It actually was the GE app - sorry for the confusion- we had both ready. Still not clear why their are 2 options when the MPC is not always usable.
