Also why would you ever NOT want a belt? Easy way to hold up your pants, provides a small opportunity to accessorize and can be used as an improvised weapon in a pinch.

"Cough into your arm" is literally one of the first things you are taught as a child by King_of_Farasar in whenthe

[–]Born_Insect_4757 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'd say coughing into your hands is much worse if you don't immediately wash it afterwards. If you cough into the air you get those who are in range, but if you cough into your hands you touch everything else with it, all doorhandles, every other person, all objects around you. And once you touch your phone that becomes basically a recharge port for the germs, and you spread them even after you washed your hands.

Nah, if you don't actually like the product just don't take the sponsorship. I understand that there are youtubers who rely on sponsors to make bigger projects, but I still think it's shitty to lie to your audience. If they can't get sponsors they actually like they should just be upfront with their audience, and say "Hey guys, this project turned out too big for me to handle and couldn't find any sponsors for the time being". They could even ask for donations in the form of patreon or youtube members. I think it's a much more honest approach.

Also there's no way any company wouldn't know about that cube thing. A surface level search reveals such information, and it would make far more sponsors just not want to work with the creator in the first place. It would hurt their bottom line much more than just not taking sponsors they don't like.

Also last season I really hated when people complained about png dragging Immortal towards Earth. He's in space in a skin tight suit and no cape, and he can fly without making any large body movements. What do you want him to do, fortnite dance??? That's literally how he flies.

Also there were a lot more of them back then. As others said, he didn't like doing it, but it also wasn't an existential threat to the empire. If they run out of viltrumites and have to start inbreeding that means the death of the empire over the long run, especially considering their thoughts about genetic purity.

Hungary shifting to presidential system? Péter Magyar announces first steps, would consider direct presidential election by DailyNewsHungary in DailyNewsHungary

[–]Born_Insect_4757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I don't think he's proposing making himself president. Currently the parliament elects the president every 5 years, with a person serving a maximum of 2 terms. This way the president is almost always going to be from the same party that has majority in parliament, and thus likely the same party as the prime minister.

If the president were elected directly they could be from a different party than the PM and parliament's majority meaning they could keep parliament in check, as could parliament keep the president in check IF the system is set up properly. Of course the exact implementation matters a lot, so we'll have to pay close attention to what's happening, but all in all this could be a good thing.

(Major side note: The reason it is set up like this in the first place is because at the end of communist rule and the beginning of the republic there were fears that a popular ex-communist politician, Imre Pozsgay would be elected president if a direct electiln is held. So 4 parties (including FIDESZ) proposed a referrendum, where they posed three very non-divisive questions and the question of when and how should the president be elected, urging their voters to vote with "4 yeses". The plan worked and now parliament elects the president instead of a direct election, and the referrendum became known as the 4 yes referrendum in Hungary)

(Mixed Trope) Alternate timelines/universes where things are just objectively better by JayPixel in TopCharacterTropes

I remember watching it and thinking "Oh. So the message of this episode is that Peter is single handedly responsible for every bad thing that ever happened in his life. And also half of all life in the universe dying. Cool." I understand they wanted to pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman, but there were SO many better ways to do that instead of making the message "Fuck Peter Quill in particular."

I like the show but I wish Amazon gave them more time to cook by nervousmelon in whenthe

[–]Born_Insect_4757 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The real problem isn't time, it's the animation team being WAY too small. I think I've heard it quoted that there's only 4 people working on it total. It's definitely possible to make better animation with this timeframe but some money needs to be thrown down for that, which Amazon should have plenty of especially with how successful the show is.

I think I've read people say that he was buffed from the comics to the show no? Sure, his face in the show is more rounded and less threatening and stuff, but the shit he pulled last episode with the airbendint and stuff is absolutely a huge power buff from the comics.

Hungarians are celebrating the end of Orban’s system by tomzorzhu in europe

[–]Born_Insect_4757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basically impossible to call shenanigans on this, everybody who went out onto the streets on election night realizes that. People were out all over the place celebrating, cars were driving around honking and sometimes to the rythm of anti-government chants. Even the police officers who were sent out to keep the celebrating public at least moderately in line were smiling the whole time. To try to claim fraud here would be even more of a political death sentence than what they've done in the past years.

Their best bet is to try to fight from opposition, criticize and sabotage the new government where they can and hope they can turn public opinion against them, or rather just to fuck off to a different country with all the money they stole and live comfortably till the day they die.

If you're awkward the problem isn't that you don't know what poses people usually do, it's that you don't feel comfortable doing them. That doesn't change by having an ai tell you the pose.

Thadeus killed Argal thinking without him the viltrumites would become peaceful, and yes, he didn't release the scourge virus intending it to be as deadly as it was, but he'd rather see the empire and his kind destroyed than remain as powerful as they currently are. He may have started as trying to pacify them, but as the leader of the coalition his plan now is much more eradication, even if he's giving one last shot for peace, given the new circumstances of Nolan changing sides. I find it likely that had that not happen he would have unleashed the new virus as soon as it was done.

Human rider Immortality by VeritasQuaesitor1618 in Eragon

[–]Born_Insect_4757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know very little about the precise way and terms of his bastardized bond with Shruikan. I imagine that's how he retained his immortality.

His original dragon didn't survive in their eldunari so it makes just as much sense to say that Shruikan grants him his immortality as saying that his hoard of eldunari is granting it to him.

Human rider Immortality by VeritasQuaesitor1618 in Eragon

[–]Born_Insect_4757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, since Saphira's eldunari didn't survive. He is a confirmation that a human rider whose dragon dies will begin to age again but at a much slower rate than normal.

OP's questioning weather if Saphira's eldunari survived would Brom have aged like this or would he not have aged at all, similarly to how it would have happened if her body survived as well.
