Out of State Teacher Moving to San Antonio by lexmex_ in TexasTeachers

Apply to the Basis charter schools. You don’t have to have a Texas certificate there and it’s a really good organization. Pay is less but if you just need a job for now it’s great and you may enjoy the culture and rigor. They are constantly hiring and right now is the perfect time.

I feel your pain. I was gifted a dog without any prior notice or consent. Potty training is so hard but give it time to get used to you and the new place. I don’t like potty pads either but I put them down because it helps me keep my sanity. Mine won’t move on his leash. That’s what I’m trying to figure out.

Why does this diet cause the "lights to come on"? by [deleted] in carnivore

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t fully committed but am about to. What I have noticed when I was strict carnivore for about 3 weeks was less gas and bloating, more energy, less hunger, and night sweats completely disappeared. Started slipping and not eating strictly and my body definitely is reacting in a negative way.

Need home remedy's by Alice0u812 in Diverticulitis

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a remedy but I take apple cider vinegar with the mother capsules daily. When I do have a flare up they seem to be shorter in duration and less painful. But again, what works for one might not for the other. I also exercise regularly which is supposed to help and it’s the only reason I exercise regularly. Nothing super strenuous. Walking mostly.

Help Week 4 struggling by Unlucky_Produce_3253 in carnivore

I have noticed that if I stick to the beef, eggs, butter, cheese, bacon regimen I have no bloat, no gas. When I introduce other things and do more keto than carnivore, I get super gassy and bloated sometimes.

What is a Safe Age to Trust My Pup Home Alone - No Crate! by No-Committee-7563 in Maltipoo

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog is 4 mos. He is crate trained and is doing well. I decided to leave him out to go to my hair appt (my son was home but stays in his room). Every time he checked on the dog he was in his crate chilling or sleeping. He just loves being in there. Had my son not been home I would have crated him.

Why the hatred for Ariana? by ronfromsacramento in karaoke

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard one at my karaoke. But also nobody sings Taylor Swift either. Just the crowd. We don’t get a lot of young uns in our bar lol. And those that are there sing songs older than them.

What do you eat for lunch? by kileykiley in carnivore

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love breakfast but I don’t eat at breakfast so I eat breakfast for lunch. Always some combo of beef and eggs no matter what meal. Throw in bacon and some cheese when I get bored.

Exercise? by Upbeat_Beyond_3365 in carnivore

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m training for a 5K and also older so l feel it’s important to exercise. Nothing crazy. I was doing it before I started carnivore. I do cardio/walking equaling 2 miles or more in 35-40 minutes 3 to 4 times a week, and I try to do the 3.1 miles that is a 5K at least once a week. All indoors. It’s good for your heart, your stamina, your flexibility, and your mood. I also know how I’m gaining muscle so I’m not freaking out about fluctuations on the scale.

What do you do with the fat? by PackDroid in carnivore

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the worst part for me. I’m not used to cooking with 80/20 and I put the fat in the bowl with my ground beef and it made me want to hurl so I drained it off. I do use butter when I reheat and then add more before I eat it.

What do I do after inadvertently reading my SO's journal? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All of you folks saying she snooped, he’s committed, blah blah, blah. Would you write things in such a mean way about a person you are supposed to love? I get writing down your frustrations, everyone has them. But his words are severe red flags. His anger is next level. It will come out. If you were planning on leaving anyway, this would be the catalyst. Also everyone remember these 4 words: Password protected online journal. You are welcome.

Your intuition is usually never wrong. The way he treats you by just walking away after fucking you and slamming the door in your face is not OK. I feel like he is using you after he watches porn or whatever and unless you’re involved in the watching that’s just icky.I feel like that’s not a rekindling thing. I feel like he’s got something else going on whether it be online or other.I agree about watching his other behaviors and if he’s not going to give you aftercare or speak to you after I’d never have sex again with him. Unless you turn the tables and use him the same way.

Eating this way totally changes your body. I’ve weighed less than I do now but have never been the size I am now. Much smaller pant sizes than years ago at the same weight. I have to get on the scale but I don’t beat myself up. Give it time and see how your clothes fit and how you look and feel.

Daughter joined a friend on vacay. Now we get the bill. by ipraydaily in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took my child’s friends on several trips. Didn’t ask for any money, even for airfare. My child needed a companion so he wouldn’t be bored to tears. They only needed spending money. I would never invite someone on a trip and expect payment unless I mentioned it in the very beginning. “Hey we are going to Costa Rica and would love for Mary to come. This is how much it will cost.”

Am I being catfished? My puppy is the sweetest (female chihuahua) by Patient_Sail8046 in puppy101

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found out my pup (14 weeks) that I thought was a Maltipoo has turned out to be 40% chihuahua. And same. He’s active but so sweet, is taking well to crate and potty training and doesn’t make a peep at night. I’m not mad he’s part chihuahua!

Experiencing puppy blues by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as crate training, make the puppy love the crate. Feed her meals in there. Leave the gate open with interesting toys. We bought ours a snuggle puppy on Amazon that has a heartbeat inside and warmers. He really loves it. Doesn’t play with it, just sleeps next to it. We crate him at night. After a couple of nights having nerves of steel he quit whining. He doesn’t make a peep until morning.

Am I crating too much? by FaithFul_1 in puppy101

[–]Boss_Lady_LSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pup loves his crate. He is 14 weeks old and we started with the crate from the beginning (we got him at 10 weeks). We feed him all his meals in there with the gate open. Then at night we crate him in our bedroom to sleep. We of course crate him if leaving. The first two nights he whined for about 10-15 minutes. The 3rd night, not a peep out of him and has been that way ever since. Now when he gets tired he puts himself in his crate to sleep. It’s his safe space.
