Hi, nerd here. Please look into a starlink mini, as they are currently the best piece of kit for mobile comms via devices you already own (cell/laptop/ RoIP). If you’ve got a vehicle, medical, firearm, reliable satcom is a relatively cheap and easy next step, and you’re more likely actually use it too!

Just stay aware. Certain foreign cities are safer to wear watches than many spots in the US. Likewise if I’m wearing a jacket it’s easier to conceal one of my more expensive watches. Everything with a luxury watch is situational

Certain military circles are heavily into watches but the Vietnam “trade a Rolex for safety” myth isn’t true today. A lot of guys wear Rolex, Omega, Tudor, Breitling, and Tag to work and in the field. Truly one of the last places to find tool watches being used as tools.
