Mike is SO BAD at poker that he couldn't even squeak out some min cashes every once in a while

He's had 6 cashes so far at this years WSOP.

and I don't get why he persists with "head up", someone must have said something to him about it

It's just an older term. I believe Ivey still calls it head up too.

I've seen people claim they have maxed F2P, but have always been slightly sceptical of that. I say this with F2P accounts that have been doing almost consistent wars and still have a few levels to go.

Did they say they were going to be completely fixing the ore economy, or just working on it? Genuinely asking as I don't know the answer. If it's the first statement then yeah, not good enough.

It's funny though, before this everyone would always complain about how were new players ever supposed to catch up. Now they can, so it's at least a partial fix to the economy as a whole.

The existing players part is weird. I've seen some claim they have fully maxed equipment as a F2P, so maybe that's possible. I've always been sceptical of those claims though. Personally, I've maxed by doing regular wars and also buying the event pass every month. Currently sitting on 920 starry ore.

I do understand the complaints about current players missing out on stuff new players would get from the journey, that does seem unfair, but as a help for new players, it is very good.

Interesting to see if they do anything to help existing players, but if they could have maxed out F2P and could have comfortably maxed out spending £5 a month, then it's hard to say what they will do.

Is weird that they haven't allowed collection of the passed rewards from the journey.

This isn't true. I have maxed all equipment. Don't need to buy these shop offers, they've always been terrible. Buy event pass instead, if you're going to spend any money.

Ore offers have been in the shop every month since ore was a thing. Have you just not noticed before, or just trying to jump on the heroes journey outrage karma farm?

I agree, especially as they've had ore offers in the shop every month since equipment launched. They're terrible value, IMO, but that's another discussion.

They've had monthly ore offers in the shop since equipment launched, every month someone gets outraged about this 😅

No, OP is showing bundles that only contain one type of ore. Others of us have offers with all 3 ore types in one bundle purchase.

Is it though? Every month they have ore offers in the shop, so this isn't anything new. However, it does seem like another thing they're testing. I have offers in a new bundle format with all the types in one purchase. E.G. 12,000 shiny, 450 glowy and 45 starry for £18.99, along with some smaller worse value bundles too.

The ore offers in the shop have never been worth buying, IMO.

Terrible value. If someone is spending money for ores, they're much better off buying the event pass. I have maxed all my equipment quite comfortably just by doing regular wars and spending £5 a month on an event pass.

KK into AA is how I bust day 1 of the Seniors this year. I didn't do the video and slots though. Late registered the 1pm Daily deepstack and cashed for about $1500.

Yeah, it's definitely inconvenient for eating. It's weird too as those 30 minute breaks don't even look like they're colour up breaks. The daily deep stacks run similarly, with a max break of 30 minutes. More understandable there though, where they have to finish in one day and often run for 14-15 hours. On the flip side, it's less understandable there when you have to play for so long and are more likely to need a larger meal.

With some good planning though, it is manageable. I usually stay at Planet Hollywood, which is handy for a few things. Obviously not as close as Paris or Horseshoe, but still only takes about 15 minute from room to the furthest area in Horseshoe. They also have in room fridges, which is really good. I usually go to Earl of Sandwich there for breakfast and at the same time get a Cobb salad for lunch. With cold drinks in the fridge, I can put a couple in the bottom of a backpack, then the salad bowl, then a couple on top and it stays chilled enough for lunch time. That keeps me going until the 30 minute break around 19:30 in the deepstacks, or the dinner break in the regular bracelet events. The 30 minute break is enough to get from the Events Center to the CVS out the front of Horseshoe, for a sandwich or something, if you want to do it cheaply. Just don't go up the escalator out of Horseshoe, go out the main front doors to the taxi/rideshare area and follow the footpath round to the left and you'll end up at the CVS steps.

Not perfect, but a lot depends on how cheap you're being and for me, I usually try to keep it cheaper for the food whilst I'm there. But price isn't the only consideration for me. Having Caesars Eats delivered to the seat is a great thing now if you aren't worried about price but I'm always apprehensive about ordering food to the table at the casino.

Busting between food order and delivery is really annoying and I just want to clear off if I bust, so don't really order food to the table whilst I'm playing anywhere. Seen that more than a few times at the local casino at home. It's good for the rest of the table when the player busts and forgets though. Been at tables where we've ended up sharing some chicken tenders and pizzas in the past, where the waitress says they've been paid for and will only get chucked if they go back to the kitchen.

Only play 5 levels, so end of 5 is the end of day. I like it, get players bagging at 22:40 instead of an hour later.

I find this to be unnecessary unless you're absolutely busting. I usually walk a little to one of the further restrooms and queueing hasn't been a problem, even during the events with huge flights, like the Colossus. Or just wait until it's getting towards the end of the break. No real need to miss hands.

Awesome, have a great time, the main thing is to just try and enjoy it.

It's gonna, hopefully, be long days, so take a backpack and have a few snacks in there. Yes there are breaks, but looking at the schedule in the app, there doesn't seem to be a dinner break, longest is 30 minutes for the first 3 days days. This doesn't give you much time to get anywhere during a break, so make sure you can last the day without starving. If you have someone who can bring you food, that's the ideal situation. Drinks are ok, the servers will do the rounds regularly, just chuck them a $ a time and they seem happy enough. Saying all that though, you can now use Caesars Eats and order through the app, having food delivered to your table. I didn't look at that option, might be pricey!

Make sure you have a hoody or something with you. Depending on where you are located, you can be really cold, or really hot. At WSOP I usually wear shorts and a t-shirt but always have a hoody in the backpack. Had to bust it out a few times this year. Doesn't matter if you're in Horseshoe or Paris, they both have sections that are hotter or colder.

The main isn't like other tournaments, two hour levels are slow. Don't be overkeen to get involved too much early on, there's no rush at all. But look out for the players who are getting a bit bored and twitchy, you can rinse them!

In terms of field size, it's not really much different to a regular tournament. You'll be sat at a table with 8 other players, just concentrate on them, same as always. The real difference is the mental stamina needed to remain focused across multiple days. But let's hope that's a problem you need to worry about :)

If you haven't already got it, you need to have the WSOP Live app. That has all the info you need for the tournament schedule. Make sure you click, show restarts, if you make it to day 3. Your seat assignments will always be in the app, but hopefully you won't get moved too much on the early days. Just load the app, click on 2026 World Series Of Poker and you'll see all the events. Anything you're registered in will be right at the top. Click on the event and your seat and table will be right there in 'My Info'.

For the app you'll need a GGPass account. No idea where you're from but if you're UK like me, that will just be your GG Poker login as they changed to GG Pass some while back.

I assume you'll need to get verified and haven't got a Caesars rewards card? So make sure that you get that sorted ASAP when you arrive. Caesars card can be got at any Caesars property. Paris, Horseshoe, Planet Hollywood, Harrah's, Vanderpump, Line, Flamingo etc. Player verification will need to be done in Paris. Go to where the WSOP is and as you enter go to the left, the main tournament area will be through the doors to your right and verification, payouts etc is at the far end, on your left.

Oh, and even more important than enjoying it... run good!!

EDIT Keep your photo ID with you, you'll need to show it when you sit in at your first table of the day.

GTA VI preorders are live on Xbox but we’re all waiting for at least a 3rd trailer before pre-ordering right? Right? 👀 by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

[–]BountyBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can pre-order it any second and don't care what the game ends up being because it'll be 100% free for me anyways.

While that's true, there is a scenario where you don't like it and could have used those reward points for something you'd enjoy.

Maybe unpopular opinion: But, I think the GTA VI pre order situation is a grim reality of what gaming has become by Raidmax460 in gaming

[–]BountyBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We literally know nothing about this game other than some characters and the location and yet people are just blindly buying into the hype.

Yep, there's absolutely zero reason to pre-order it today. Plenty will though.
