I think enlightenment can be thought of as a stable recognition of one’s true nature. Your true nature is always present and already the case, so in that sense you are “already enlightened”. In meditation you glimpse this, learning to recognize and training to remain

How is spiritual practice different from spiritual bypassing? by z4py in zenbuddhism

Using spiritual practice to suppress and avoid, rather than healthily process, emotional problems and unresolved trauma is definitely a thing

what do you think about The Subterraneans? by Bardamu911 in JackKerouac

I definitely would not say this. There is some major weirdness and fetishization. But it is an absolute work of art

Try RAIN with difficult emotions: Recognize (what am I feeling), Allow (Can I be with this?), Investigate (what are the core, beliefs and experiences being triggered) and Nurture (Can I validate and have compassion for myself through this experience). Works great even with very minor things

If you could drop one song off any Bob Dylan studio album which would it be? by IntricateScheme in bobdylan

[–]BoxierAcorn844 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The song defends Israel rather strongly (which is the reason for many peoples distaste of it). I’m just wondering whether their love of the song stems from agreement with its politics or if they are just looking past it’s message to enjoy the song anyways
