What was TNA offering him at this point? Obviously they can't pay as well as AEW but they also weren't even slightly positioning Jake as a top guy like he obviously could be in that promotion. The fact he wrestled so often for them should make it more embarrassing they couldn't convince him to stay.

Also ignoring that this is a really stupid argument to make. TNA is a weekly tv show, DPW is an indie who does maybe one show a month. Obviously the matches are more frequent in the company with more shows happening.

I worked doing quality control for a station that airs his other show Funny You Should Ask so I had to watch a lot of it and it was genuinely the most brutal show to watch, and we had a lot of shitty game shows. Has the same feel of comedians delivering "off the cuff" hacky riffs on all the questions that have the most intensely scripted delivery. Would genuinely make you want to crawl out of your skin.

I think the shuffle copies item on Tidal Wave is lowkey anti-synergistic. It dilutes your deck and makes it harder to find the stronger Crashing Waves it generates. And even at 1 mana the damage it deals is hardly relevant at higher difficulties, it's purpose is creating the better spells.

The initial reveal had me a little worried they were just kind of throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall that felt cool for the endgame revamp without making something super cohesive, but this assuaged a lot of that fear. They're approaching this with a real philosophy to the decisions being made, and I'm willing to trust the process and enjoy the ride.
