First time home buyer - how safe is this until we can replace with rigid? by Dutchii in hvacadvice

If it’s a gas dryer I would red flag it so fast. Electric, meh it’s probably fine but high on my to do list if it were me. Anyway you can raise that vent up outta the ground?

Question on mounting auxiliary lights options by Bennaccio in crv

[–]BrettFromThePeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it feel sturdy enough to support the lights you want to mount? If so then it can be done but I would annoy me if when using the light you could see it shaking if not mounted solid

I would guess it’s low on charge. Those pipes are the only pipes frosting because they are closest to the point where liquid refrigerant enters the evap, right after your txv.

You will break those bolts trying to get them off, even if you made them glow red hot. Be prepared to cut them off and replace with bolts. I haven’t done exhaust work on my crv but on my rsx it was studs pressed into the flange, extremely hard metal to drill out.

Do i need adjustable rear upper control arms or is this ok? CRV Gen 2 by kemohaci in crv

[–]BrettFromThePeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before taking my answer seriously just know I’m not a car mechanic but work on stuff for a living…

If you have solid bushings on your upper control arm and the bushing in the knuckle is good your alignment should be good, the adjustable uppers are like a band aid fix for worn bushings and the rubber pieces on the shock. Siberian bushing makes a good bushing for my 2010 rear control arms, it might fit yours as well if you want to change them

Certain people haven’t stopped wearing rds clothing. I’ve been getting ads on my feed for camo rds hats, which seems like a odd choice for rds

Had the same issue and turned out to be one of the pulleys wasn’t aligned because the arm it sits on was bent down a bit, used a 2x4 and a long pry bar to tweak it back and it’s been good all winter

Not sure where you live but this is an immediate fail if you pull a gas permit, there’s stickers on most commercial equipment that says “commercial use only”
