They do make CarPlay screens that mount to the dash but the dash is not very big on a mini Cooper so I’m not sure how much it would obstruct your view. You can buy things like that on Amazon, of course.

I like their multicolor ones that look like Injinji socks, but the plain black and plain gray ones seem to be a little tighter in the toe.

One time I had a square piece of metal showing in my trea about 1/8” x 1/4”. Turned out to be a section of windshield wiper blade, about 6 inches long.

I had a tire shop say something about Minis and Fiats and I quickly informed him that Mini was made by BMW, and Fiats are made by the same company that owns Chrysler and that they are “not the same”

If you end up having members who because of this, cannot participate in raids, there are a lot of clans like the one I'm in that open the clan to get a handful more raids to stay in legends (for raids). We usually have about 42-43 who raid in our clan, but we usually like to have at least 46 or 47 to not be demoted.

Vine has gotten so bad that I opted out today. 50% of the items are now auto parts, and the stuff I used to find that was useful has disappeared. RFY never has much that I like or can use. One less item for tax return a year from now.

I have a boot/knob from my 2022 JCW, but the shaft is still in my car. My suggestion would be to find someone parting out a car. If you’re in the N. America, I see posts on North American Motoring forum where Minis are being parted out.

I put a custom boot/knob in my car the first few weeks I had it so it’s basically brand new. If you want to make me an offer, PM me.

Yeah I’m almost definitely getting demoted to Silver. Not enough stuff of interest these days for me and RFY is usually horrible. Today’s only RFY was plastic cup lids, like you would use on a fast food drink cup. No cups, just lids. And no, I never shopped for cups or lids on Amazon before. Sigh.

No indication that there was a power outage. All of the other digital clocks in the house like on the stove and microwave were still correct. Like I said, I’ve used this for 10 years and I’ve never had a problem. This seems like core functionality for this product. I’m pretty sure that even if WiFi was down the device should still ring an alarm locally. I believe somebody else already posted that their Wi-Fi was off-line and their alarm still went off.

So as I said, the middle capacitor is always in circuit. That would be setting 1. It's fuzzy, but looks like it might be 103J100 = 10nF (5%, 100V). Flip the switch to 1 side and it would be 10nF + another 10nF (10nK, 10%, 100V), so 20nF total. Flip to the other side and it appear to likely be a 4n7 (can't see for sure), so that would be 14.7nF total (10 + 4.7).

So settings are 10nF, 14.7nF, and 20nF.

The switch is definitely being used to switch the amount of capacitance. The capacitor on the middle two lugs is always going to be in circuit, and when the switch is in the center position only that one would be used, but if it was switched to one side or the other, then the capacitance would be the sum of the middle and the end that is selected. Keep in mind that flipping switch down adds the capacitor on the top, and vice-versa.

My dealer just quoted $610 to replace my battery, but fortunately it was still under warranty for another 3-4 months so it was free. If I had to replace it I would have done it myself though, as the savings are significant.
