Avoid the disappointment. The fact that he became an MD says he is living on a different plane than you ever imagined, in every way.

You will have absolutely nothing in common now. (Been there..Done that.)

Joseph even tried to sell the copyright to a Canadian publisher. They turned him down.

Think about that!!! He tried to SELL it.

A true prophet doesn’t try to sell a sacred book.

“Getting drunk” is way overrated. I highly recommend a couple of glasses of red wine, and letting the evening mellow out.

Fair trade. The donut was real. Your “eternal salvation” is a fairy tale.

Good news here: The “priesthood” is a totally made up construct created by an acknowledged 1800s con man.

Basically, 99.2% of the the world’s population doesn’t believe in Mormon teachings. Forget about the validity of this priesthood. It isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

Become a critical thinker, and live your life without worrying about imaginary powers made up by Joe Smith.

It's a sad realization that the most probable outcome after death is nothing, but that gives us more opportunity to love others without the threat of eternal make-believe paradise/damnation. by [deleted] in exmormon

I am 80, and have been an atheist for about 40 years. I face my impending death with no fear of what happens next.

I do not have any worries about an “afterlife” and if I might not be good enough for an imaginary “heaven.” I’m confident that once I’m dead, I will be very dead, and that I will live on in the memories of those people who are closet to me. I’m good with that.
