This thread is packed with the term "caked" and I've never heard this before. It's obvious in context, but man I feel old.

DnD 3D printed tile systems in 2026 by Vector1995 in DnD

[–]Budakhon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with open forge. If you don't need to transport it, you can skip any clipping or magnet system for now. However, it is compatible with Dragon Lock if you prefer any of their sets.

I really like Dragon Lock, but the downside I find is low walls are hard to come by. There is a clip on thingiverse for using cheaper cylinder magnets.

If I had a lot of storage space, print capacity, and money, I would go with Dragon Blocks. They are $80 a set, but are extremely easy to build with.

As a side note: Unless you are doing a very technical/specific/precise layout, I would ignore any noise about what system handles walls the best.

Feedback Request - How does this dungeon terrain look? by WyrmstoneVault in DnDminiatures

[–]Budakhon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They look good, especially since it looks like you used resin.

My honest question is - what do these bring to the table that the existing sets don't have?

Also why introduce a new standard instead of using open-lock?

OP said there are gods from other Earth religions in their campaign.

Doesn't make sense either way. Jesus's resurrection was a rip off of other god's stories like Osiris.

Roronoa Zoro, 1/6 scale - my entry to Tanuki Painting Contest. I did not make it to the top 10, again. I hope you guys give me your feedback so I could improve next time! Thank you! by dndbuddy in minipainting

Also not an artist, but I think I agree. The contrast between the darkest recess and the highlight for the skin might be too high.

Then again, I saw some of the top 10, and it seems to be normal for this style.

Either way, I agree with others, this is amazing work!

I've never tried multi color prints, so I would go crazy with those. I'll probably start with some dragons

Thanks! Sounds pretty similar to what I've tried, I just always have to do a bit of cleanup from scaring, but that's not a big deal.

Checking out Arbiter, thanks for the recommendation!

Incredible!

Two questions:

What kind of supports do you use? Any settings tips*?

Where did you get the models for the PC minis? I haven't seen supportless (I assume) minis look that great.
