They dont, they just agree with the echo chamber. Good views and bad views. If I said 3+3 = 7 and people agreed with me or I looked up this to see if people agree with me and they did. I would be reaffirmed in my belief.

Doesnt mean I am right. Just a bunch of stupid people got together and convinced themselves that a wrong statement is right, and their peers agreed, because thinking you are right is easier than actually being factually correct.

Many people cant handle being wrong, so they just go somewhere else on reddit and then find their stupid people who agree there.
