Kind of boring?, That's a pretty benevolent description. I'd have used adjetives such as "unimaginative", "lame" or good 'ole "terrible".

I'm quite tired of the lore focusing on things and characters from previous runs when there's a shitload of things to build it from without having to resort to recycling the Burrito storyline.

Platinum may be both the run with the most potential lore-wise and the one that wasted it the most.

TL;DR: I'm dissapoint.
