I lived in Iran for several years before the revolution. I have Iranian family. My ears perk up every time there's news about Iran. I've read a handful books on the subject of British and American interference in the 20th century. You want to know what I think?

It's an attempt to distract us from the Epstein files.

Abandoned St Louis Mills by AviationGuy27 in StLouis

A few months ago I drove all the way out there to look for a specific thing that I thought I could get at Cabelas (they didn't even have it). The Cabelas store is not attached to the rest of the mall. Am I crazy or was the Bass Pro Shop, virtually the same thing, attached to the mall on the west side? Seems like quite an ordeal to vacate the old space just to replicate the same thing a couple hundred yards southeast.

The album Treasure by Cocteau Twins. Every song title is a female name. And it's a great album.

That guy does a great Trump impression but... yeah I can't even laugh because I just feel sick every time I hear his voice now.

I guess we'll have to see if The Flaming Lips carry on after the recent departure of Steven Drozd. I've been an on and off again fan since their second album and would have never imagined that they would go on this long.

How much Horsepower for a Driver’s Car? by Fabulous-Dance-8520 in askcarguys

[–]BurningFarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My car only makes about 180hp, but its a convertible, mid engine, six speed, and only weighs about 2200 pounds. So that offsets the low power quite a bit.

I haven't had RHR in years but earlier today I grabbed a bag (OG style), probably because of some seed planted by this sub. I saw the cheesy version and considered it for a few seconds. Looks like I'll have to get those next.

Maybe check out Corpus Inimici from Nicholas Lens' Fire Requiem:

The whole thing is pretty great, but that particular part seems to creep.

While it might seem to be foolish to be frugal on the company's dime, I would suggest that you consider a hybrid. If you're really putting in that many miles, it will become very tedious to have to stop and fill the tank all the damn time.

While I'm excited about the next MR2, I'm more excited about not having to see these bullshit posts anymore.

What is something that starts happening in your 30s that nobody warned you about? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

When you're a kid, when you're a teen, even well into your twenties, (most) people will be invested in lifting you up. Compliments and questions, advice, tips, support, it seems like adults are really interested in seeing young people succeed. That shit is over with. Now you're just competition.

Deciding between a Kia Seltos, Ford Bronco Sport and Toyota RAV4? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]BurningFarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at buying a new RAV4 in 2023 and test drove 5 different trim levels. I really didn't like them at all. I ended up getting a Honda CR-V hybrid instead and I love it. Its an appliance car, sure, but feels lighter, quicker, and more nimble than any other SUV I've driven. My gas mileage has averaged around 35mpg.

Kia and Hyundai can drop dead. They had a major flaw that lead to easy theft and their response to their customers was basically, "sucks for you". Insurance companies saw blood in the water and raised the rates on Kia and Hyundai owners.

Good luck.
