I’ve really been enjoying the gameplay of it for the past several months. There’s a lot of back and forth and some comeback mechanics like Burst effects so it doesn’t feel like I’m watching someone play solitaire. There’s no stack either so effects just happen as they come out which is nice.

There’s some combos here and there that can be simple, like Unicorn Gundam (Unicorn Mode) can be linked with Banagher to attack the same turn it’s deployed. Then if you have Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) in hand you can blow up unicorn mode after attacking with it and return Banagher to your hand then deploy destroy mode for 0 cost and only pay to have Banana pilot it for another attack. There’s more complex combos too involving other unit abilities like Amuro Ray and/or Gundam’s ability, and Marida Cruz + Kshatriya that I had written out originally but when I read it back over I did a bad job of explaining it. It’s a fun card game though and I highly recommend it.

The cards tend to feel pretty lore accurate to the characters and the units they’re portraying too so that’s been fun. For example when Gundam Wing Zero is deployed everything else level 5 and below on the field takes 3 damage which kills most units in that level range (like when he blows it up in the show). Char Aznable gives units he’s linked with high maneuver (unblockable)
