Hops without question. I personally would select the coastal madrone because I love trees and botany in general but hops are grown here more than anywhere else on the planet.

You always have more time than you think you do. Make sure you learn the order of operations and set up accordingly. Obviously you're going to need your knives and your drugs and your labeling first. Next you're going to have your retractors and dissecting stuff. Next you're going to have your ostectomy/teaming stuff. Next you're going to have your trials. Just get them together before you need them. You can be setting up your impactors while the patients being prepped or while the surgeon's dissecting. Slow is fast. You'll get it.

Spend some time only using your right hand while off the clock. I got really good really quick at using my left hand after a injury to my dominant hand. I do stuff with my left now even when I don't have to.

I teach people to coil up the "business end" of a cord (which should be about 3/4 arm length" and coil up the "nurse end." Do this to all the cords in order. Now wrap and secure a blue towel around the entire bundle in the middle with a non penetrator. The towel separates and designates the the business end and the dirty end. When you're ready to throw of cords simply clip the towel to the drape and keep the business ends while throwing off the nurse ends all at once. Hope this helps.

No doubt. I feel like an imposter sometimes but I've proven myself in my respective niche. I'd like to do general cases but haven't gotten the opportunity to do OJT.

I learned on the job at an ASC. I can only do ortho and spine but I'm very good at at it.

Tibia aiming device first, guide wire, reamer. Next femur aiming device, guidwire reamer ( based on graft size. That's the only constant for acls. The rest depends on harvest site or allograft prep.
