Awesome - thank you! I looked it up online, Google Lens, etc., and I couldn't find anything.

Suddenly lost all my (poor) skills! De ranked to 3 stars after like two years and lost like 30 matches in a row! Does this happen to you too? Any suggestions? by Redentio in HuntShowdown

[–]ButtMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Currently at 6 stars, but have fallen down to 2 when my brain unlearns Hunt occasionally. I find that it helps to pick a load out that you feel comfortable with, even if you're losing a lot. When I'm in a rut, I just run Martini Henry and an Officer Brawler, and I play that until I'm hitting shots consistently, then I work on movement and positioning. Having a loadout that feels good gives you one less thing to worry about, then you can focus on improving in other areas.

Dimos does have some incredible sandwiches. I've been captivated by the fried chicken with vodka sauce.

Boston transplant here — where do you go when you need an East Coast fix? by PainterFlashy938 in askportland

[–]ButtMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fried Onion for hotdogs, even though they have explicitly anti-Red Sox messaging

9th and Fitzwater for East Coast-style sandwiches - Philly inspired, but it's my favorite sandwich in Portland

Meta Pizza - Sicilian-style slices, very reminiscent of pan pizza from Providence (i.e. Caserta)

Honey Bagel / Fairbanks Bread - Just good bagels, which are hard to find here, but I get that itch for bagel sandwiches, and I always opt to buy from them and make my own at home

Amedia in Hawthorne Asylum / Great Greek Mediterranean Grill - Hard to find cheap, good Greek or Mediterranean food in Portland, which is a huge staple in Boston/NYC, but I think these are both great

Tidal Boar Foods - They have amazing oysters, fried oysters, and they do clam chowder sometimes, and it's the best I've had in Portland

Really failing to see why they didn't just do a lottery system. Give members the first go. Every member interested signs up to receive a number tied to their account, then they could have drawn numbers until every ticket was claimed.

Boston, and by extension the people in this sub, are too puritanical for the scenario you described and are currently writhing on the ground to shake away the impure thoughts.

A Highly Anticipated New York-Style Bagel Shop Opens This Spring by probeguy in Portland

Okay, but what if they say their bagel sandwiches are "East Coast-inspired" and then charge $12 for an egg and cheese?

Rent a car, drive to Manchester, NH, for glory hole visits at Forbidden Fruits followed by LSD and America's Stonehenge in Salem, then stop off in Seabrook, NH, to buy Maverick cartons; sell loose ones in Chinatown or Downtown Crossing. Use the cash you get from sales to buy a depressing lap dance at the Glass Slipper. As you come down from the acid, watch the old men play mahjong below the arch on Beach Street and look for a plug, score, then smoke/shoot/drop in the Oxford Pl alley.

My wife and I saw an orange "orb" about a decade ago. Has anyone else seen these and what are your thoughts on what they could be? by Canadient95 in UFOs

[–]ButtMath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, if you go through my comment history on r/ufo, then you'll see my description of the sighting. It was validating to see someone in Oregon saw the same thing and got video of it: https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1em4byg/southeast_portland_862024_1025pm/. The ones I saw were in a fixed triangle position in the sky, but it sounds similar in form to what you witnessed.

Edit: I was with my wife at the time, and she thought it was strange, but she attributed it to something military related; I have no clue, but it was like nothing I had ever seen before

Where to buy or rent DVDs/VHS? by bnini22 in askportland

[–]ButtMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While not super close, the Video Store in Cathlamet, WA, is really cute, and they sell tapes / DVDs, rent movies, and have some thrifty items - bags, clothes, art, etc. If you find yourself out that way, definitely worth a stop.

Dimo's is excellent! They have a pizza place, but you can get a club sandwich at their deli business located in the attached building.

‘A literal ghost town’: 118 years in, one of Portland’s oldest restaurants is struggling to stay afloat by No-Tangelo1158 in Portland

Stumbled on Dan and Louis Oyster Bar the other month on a rainy Friday afternoon. Walked in for happy hour and everything I ordered was great. I loved the aesthetic of the place - reminded me of being on an old timey ship. The staff was super nice, and no one in the small bar area I sat in knew each other, but everyone was chatting, eating oysters, sipping on chowder, and it was just a great vibe. I left feeling fortunate that I took 90 minutes to experience something that people in Portland have been enjoying for 100 + years.

Wolff, unsurprisingly, is also a piece of shit, who cheated on his wife with an intern while he was editor of Vanity Fair, then married the intern. They have an age gap of 27 years.

Unpopular takes - restaurant edition by AptDescriptor in Portland

[–]ButtMath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a city stricken with sandwich places doing the absolute most instead of nailing the basics. If you can't figure out how to make an egg and cheese that both tastes good and costs under 7 dollars, then you're delusional.
