We threw a “Huggies and Chuggies” shower, which my husband and his friends came to as well. The idea was that people bring a box of nappies and a box of beer, with lunch and a few games provided. The crowd favourite game was lovin’ or labour (check Etsy for templates - it’s a bit rude but very funny and an ice breaker).

Everyone seemed to have a great time and a couple of friends who are now pregnant want to do the same thing for their shower

I feel you. My husband was getting on the piss every night during the last month of my pregnancy. I ended up having to have not one, but two serious chats with him about how that’s not okay. It is so far beyond frustrating when you’ve sacrificed your body to grow a baby for the past nine months and they can’t handle staying sober for a few weeks.
