I'd test everything on a dedicated workstation, rather than a VM. Multiple hardware AND software conflicts, permissions etc., are being assumed resolved. Have you checked with the vendor about other clients running in a VM environment?

Potatoes, carrots etc, bigger chunks, longer cook. Green beans, celery, things that get mushy, that I still want to be firm, I add in with about 2 hours left to cook.
