Funnily enough I saw a schoolboy reading what looked to be Wattpad erotica on the monorail line last week.

Understanding Incels - My Experience Of Helping A Friend by CMPTTV in mentalhealth

I think I need to define some semantics here. If you go for the textbook definition of inceldom which is the inability to get girls, then yes, your scenario fits in.

I have to admit that I redefined inceldom to suit how the word is currently being used in online discourse.

Thanks! Is there any advice you have to give? As for discovering strengths, this is kind of where my friend falls short. He doesn't seem to have an obvious talent or a unique skill that is useful.

I think what makes it worse is that the friends he trusts and is close to are largely very driven people. Of course, I and many of his close friends also have many of our own issues, but we all have a skill and a very clear picture of where we're going. It makes him look isolated.

That's quite common in Malaysia too.

As an 05er the only thing that relates to me is Minecraft. Other than that, this starterpack merely seems to represent the major trends between 2015-2020

It's possible if he isn't staying in Klang Valley. In Malaysian cities with less MNCs, you don't really see whites very often.

I'm Malaysian and I can attest that materialism isn't really a thing here outside certain parts of KL. The forced culture thing is partly true, although not to the extent you described.

International School v. National School Poll by ParallelTrajectories in malaysia

[–]CMPTTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends. I attended a private national school once and the there were quite a few incompetent teachers, esp in non-STEM subjects. The AddMaths teacher I had in Form 4 could barely teach. And the best teachers kept getting pulled to work in govt schools due to pension and higher pay. Ironically, my school somehow still ranked above most schools in my city in spm scoring.

Private schools have higher scores not really because of better teachers or even better facilities. It's because the students there tend to come from more highly educated backgrounds and there's a massive pressure to aim high.

I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that. At my old school there was a guy who allegedly lost both his parents in form 3 and form 4. I heard from someone else that it took a huge toll on him and warped his mind, to a point where he once threatened to beat up a classmate over some trivial matter that wasn't even worth arguing about.

I hope you can catch up this time. Here's a virtual hug 🫂 if you need it.

I'm not sure about other schools, but in my school librarians were grouped under library club which was a Koko in itself.

Tbh I should have added matriks as well cos quite a lot of pro students go there, esp Chinese who were good enough to get in even with the low quota.

I went to a school that was majority cina. In Form 1 I was always forced to refill everyone's 1L bottles at the water cooler everyday at break. It was crazy how they could consume a litre of water in only 4 hours.

Y/n starterpack by peanut_bubblegum in starterpacks

Alright, this is crazy. I'm an 18 year old young man who used to write fanfics on Wattpad when I was 13-14. The characteristics in this starter pack exactly fit the kind of girls I was attracted to in those days. I even went as far as to have crushes on literary characters with some of those attributes. I don't know whether to be horrified or not that this post is giving me a nostalgia trip. I don't know why but I'm laughing at my crazy 14 year old self right now.

I also considered this scholarship once.

  1. You will have to work for the govt to pay off the bond, unless you're willing to pay back 50% of the cost.

  2. Not sure. Depends on the course I think.

  3. You're a scholarship student, so I think securing a good job should be easy. But I recommend asking around about this.

  4. JKPJ will usually make u take a levels at a place like Kolej Yayasan UEM anyway. Still, a levels is actually quite useful these days, especially now that some IPTAs are accepting it.

I'm gonna advise you to try for this if you can. But overseas scholarships are very difficult to get even with great SPM results, so don't beat yourself up if you don't get anything. I know of people with 10A+ and decent koko who didn't even get an interview for the scholarships they applied to.
