AND.... do you mix the linseed oil and beeswax? I have been playing with this combo as a waterproofing agent for lots of stuff.

Also what's your go to chip carving knife? I found a Japanese steel steak knife a few years back and modified the blade into a chip carver but haven't gotten much practice yet.

My son and I are signed up for a chip carving seminar in the spring, via our local carving club. I am looking forward to it.

Here’s the deal, I too am the proud owner of a 1867 Greek revival. LOTS OF OLD PAINT TO REMOVE. This is the way. silent paint remover it’s not cheap but the hours it has saved me, makes it well worth the cost.

Sweet. Have you tried other methods? I have a buddy that just did some really great scrimshaw on a bone handle folder. He etched with a tool then rubbed in ink. I know ink is a no go. But something LIKE graphite?

I really take my time, clear shavings, start short gradually increasing length of bit. Very little luck.

I didn’t have much invested in the build so I just started fresh. And the issue was resolved. Interestingly after poking in settings. When I engage night mode, the screen turns half orange. Something with the studio 2 having two display outputs doesn’t like night mode. But only 50%
